The canopy color for the SL version is like the G1 toy...the legs are gray instead of black...there's much more translucent plastic on the SL version...the Energon version looks choppy to me, although I'll still buy it...

Both versions look pretty decent for me, but im going to get hasbro not for accuracy, just for availability.

I was hoping hasbro would repaint starscream and make another release of the seekers in energon.

There was a rumor awhile ago for a product listing at WalMart for an Energon Skywarp Interceptor....

Actually at one point I saw a tag on a shelf that said Energon Skywarp. I figured it was just a mistake and didn't pay any attention to it. :wtf

apart from the black legs, i think the energon is much better.

I don't really mind either one... geez.

Someone needs to buy both and combine the parts from both to make the ULTIMATE G1 homage

I'm going to buy two of those, and repaint one into Thundercracker, considering I already painted my regular Starscream into Skywarp, by just applying purple and a little more black over the red and green areas, save the eyes and the "Energon Empowered" areas, like his wing and his right shoulder.

 

Then I'll have all three seeker brothers for my Energon series. When I have all three, I'll post pics of them all together.

 

And I can also have Inferno "resurrected" into his G1 personality. And when I get Energon Hot Shot, I'll make regular Hot Shot into Bumblebee, and still have a use for the originals.

Also, the Hasbro paint job looks a little closer to G1 Starscream than the Takara version does, not to mention, it looks a little more solid than it too. So, not only for availability, but also for quality, I'm going to get the Hasbro version. Also, the cockpit also is yellow, like the G1 cockpits were in the seekers.

The G1 Starscream toy didn't have a yellow cockpit except the Takara reissue. SL Nightscream R seems to be more of a homage to the G1 toy while Energon Starscream seems to be more of a homage to the show's version. I like both but I'll get Energon Starscream because of convenience instead of importing. I'm hoping they change Energon Starscreams sword to blue like Nightscream R in the final version but i doubt it. That's the only thing that bothers me.
