Third party maker Beelzeboss have revealed a new upgrade set called Heroic Duo. The set Includes new add-ons for Red Alert and Sideswipe. The kits include new head-sculpts, a shoulder-mounted missile launcher, and a high-energy particle beam rifle for Red Alert. Sideswipe gets two pile drivers, a shoulder-mounted launcher and his photon rifle. Possibly more accessories will be added. Look for these to be available in late 2012 Read the Full News Story Here

this might have been great news last year or a few months ago BEFORE the MP Sideswipe release was announced.

Clearly perfection will be the MP Sideswipe toy.

Yet for those of us who dislike the massive size scale of MP's and prefer our G1 cars at deluxe scale, this is rather welcome news. I've enjoyed the upgrades these guys have put out before and I admit, I'm not super-fond of the hasbro headsculpt. Unless MP Sideswipe is deluxe sized, it would be pointless for me to get it.

Or like those of us who like both, and can not stand Red Alert sharing the same head as Sideswipe. A proper head would be welcome

My guess is MP Sideswipe will be voyager sized to match the scale of the Alternators/BT & $29.99 HA toys.

I'm okay with the (jazz,sunsreaker,kup,hotrod,etc..)1984 thru 1986 car/bots being deluxe or voyager. because the 1984 thru 1985 Decepticon seekers vary in toy size scale from deluxe to voyager.

I doubt MP Sideswipe will be deluxe size. because this size seems kinda small. usually takara like's to make a impact & goes for the WOW factor with these MP TF toys. Plus Takara recently struck out with their deluxe sized Alternity TF toys that many on-line TF fans labeled as "un-official Masterpiece" TF toys.

Personally,I just think/guess that Hasbro will have a hard time trying to justify & convince USA based retailers to sell a deluxe sized MP TF toy for $30 or even for $25. I don't think Hasbro can afford to take a hit/profit loss by selling a MP Deluxe sized Sideswipe for $10 or $15 or $20. my guess is this MP TF sideswipe regardless of size will cost a lot of money to create behind the scenes, they'll be rubber tires, super posaeabilty, maybe a lamborgini car liscense fee to pay for, clear transparent car windows. top notch engineering, exspensive paint. realistic interior & so forth.

If it is between deluxe and Voyager in size, I would gladly shell out the extra cash for the Takara version with superior paint apps. I just know that is Hasbro releases it in the states it'll be just like MP Rodimus and have missing paint apps all over.

Irregardless of his scale, MP Swiper will be as expensive as it might be to get 40% of the G1 Dinobot lineup. I'm certain it will be roughly the same size as the MP Rodimus mold and will cost no less than about 60-70% as much as that mold. Even though it seems to be a clear nod to the incipient TF fanbase that have been around long enough to appreciate a G1-homage, fully articulated Sideswipe, it does not (IMO) have the "wow" factor of, say, a MP version of Galvatron or even Soundwave or Jazz. I'm sure it would be an awesome figure and I'd love to have it, but that would be like going out on a date with Zooey Deschanel and having Jenna Fischer show up instead. You still "won," but it was a small and anti-climactic "win."

Which makes the 3rd party upgrade all the more attractive. Which they do, anyway.

To be perfectly honest, given the major investment in hypothetically having the entire G1 run of Autobot cars done in the MP fashion, I'd just as soon Classics/Generations/United handled it at the deluxe/voyager level and let the 3rd party toy makers fill in the gaps.
