Exclusives

Has anybody ever noticed this.

Though Hasbro usually makes its molds directly from the Takara ones, there are some toys that only make the American market (i.e. Energon Grimlock and Swoop) and some that only make the Japanese Market (i.e. the plastic model Scourge Convoy version of the plastic model Grand Convoy.)

Some figures that come to mind that are exclusive to the American market are:

Energon Grimlock and Swoop

Energon Strongarm

Offshoot

Beachcomber

Landquake

Quickstrike

Sixshot

Dreadwing

Omega Sentinal

Some of the RiD Spychangers

The RiD Autobot Three pack

And one Japanese exclusive was Brave Maximus, the RiD version of Fort. Max.

Any others?

They can be either Japanese or American.

ARMADA RED THRUST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The entirety of Beast Wars 2 and Beast Wars Neo.

Lots of G1 toys and tons of episodes/series.

These are all exclusive to Japan.

Yup yup yup!

You're right. I didn't realize the amount of exclusives we got thanks to Hasbro. I guess that despite failing to paint toys show acuurateky, Hasbro has its good side and not even Takara can compare to that.

Thank Primus I won't have to spend extra $ on Beachcomber, Sixshot (or Scattorshot, whatever jis final name is), Omega Sentinel, etc etc.

:clap

As for Red Thrust, it makes no sense how an American toy packaged in American writing makes its way to stores in Japan only and not in the appropriate place being the U.S. (Import stores don't count).

Maybe it's something between Hasbro and Takara.

Energon Strongarm was available as a US exclusive in japan though

BTW: Europe also has its exclusives: transforming Actionmasters

Agreed. I asked some of my family to get me some of the following TFs for Chanukah:

Landquake

Beachcomber

Bulkhead

Grimlock & Swoop

In G1 Ironhide, Gears, Jetfire, and Omega Supream were exclusive to the US, Takra resently re-issuied Ironhide though.

The Rid Bros (autobot had a clear (literally!) incarnation in Japan. if this is the RID three pack you mean sorry. but i thought i'd mention it

The 3 RiD Autobots are recolored Vehicons.

Scavenger

Spystreak

Mirage GT

A 3 pack for 10 bucks, it was a great deal, even if they were recolors. And the Mirage recolors kinda stunk (though the other 2 were better recolors IMO than the BM originals).
