First impressions of the show from a writing standpoint is that the plot is certainly better layed out than in G1. There's a lot fewer instances of sudden changes to resolve plot points (deus ex machina). Things tend to be better planned out in each episode, and I have to expect that later we start seeing an actual story arc of some kind. As it is, the first few episodes (like most TV shows) are all about exposition and character development. Well, at least for the heroes.

So far, I like it, despite the 1995 CGI, which I'm having to do some serious suspension of disbelief with. It has been noted that the CGI gets better in the later seasons as well. Hard to believe that it's been nearly 10 years since this came out!

Edit: the little nod to Starscream in Cheetor's dream sequence is a nice tie-in to help the G1 fans get drawn into this show.

Any smart transformer fan needs to get the Beast Wars DVD

I can, DW's Art stile almoast makes me puke, and I doubt that they will give a sh*t about The Wreckers, and TF Universe(not to mention the Jap countuitcy :roll )

Of course, they won't. I don't think DW would trouble themselves in having to reference to obscure G1 comics that only a few have read, or a convoluted plotline of Jap and American G1 cartoons which would only confuse their Western readers, and it's pretty obvious that they've resetted the G1 universe in their "countuitcy".

I really liked Beast Wars, but regretted not really following the show. I didn't even know that they were able to connect it to G1 and had some G1 cameos until later. It wasn't enough to get me back into TF collecting, but I found it to be one of the most entertaining cartoons in the early 90s. Hopefully when I get a rest period from buying TFs, I would be able to snag some BW DVDs. I prefer to get this over G1.

The Wreckers are current comics made by 3H, that is baised in the BM Timeline, IF DW gets there bubbly hands on BW they will definatly muck up those comics.

P.S. Primal had a Matrix! :P :P

GOOD!

I sincerely hope that DW's BW series does.

The Wreckers and Universe comics were utter and complete tripe. Their only purpose was to try to invalidate BM's ending by insinuating that the Oracle was a Quintesson device manipulating Primal. It was written by a bunch of G1 purist fanboys who have no appreciation for good writing or story.

Fortunately, Sentinal Maximus's new bio seems to indicate the Wreckers and Universe comics produced by 3H are no longer canon. :clap

Die Wreckers, die!
