Here's my idea: Transformers/Voltron crossover

Basic plot:

After discovering a planet filled with powerful mechanoid lifeforms that were already engulfed in an eternal civil war, the Drule King Zarkon commands the Witch Haggar to use her mastery of dark magic and technology to enslave the entire populace....

The plan was a complete success, all but 7 Cybertronians were were fully under Zarkon's control. After sending one such Cybertronian to the planet Arus he was finally able to destroy Voltron, and the castle of Lions, his only true opposition to galactic rule, however in one final attack the Cybertronian/Ro-beast was destroyed as well, buying the Voltron force time to regroup and assess the hopelessness of the situation....

It's during this time a group of 6 cybertronians, who realizing that as the last free members of their race, previous alliegiances hold no more meaning, land on Arus. As if guided by a supernatural presence they find the demolished husk of Voltron and the Castle of Lions. Using the remains of each they rebuild they're bodies into the forms of the 5 Lions, they are:

Optimus Prime= Black Lion

Steeljaw= Yellow Lion

Lioconvoy= Blue Lion

Ravage= Green Lion

Razorclaw=Red Lion

Fortress Maximus= The Castle of Lions

The Arusians would then alert the members of the Voltron Force that the castle, and Lions are now "magically" rebuilt and fully operational. After initializing the Lions to repel another wave of Doomfighters, the Voltron force are in for a shock as they discover that not only are the Lions fully sentient and capable of communicating with their pilots, but can also transform into individual robot modes. The cybertronians are surprised themselves when they discover the Voltron Force pilots within can then summon new weaponry for them.

At this time Lotor is attempting to question the 7th cybertronian, the only one to completely resist Haggar's control...... Megatron.

When Zarkon orders a new Cybertronian robeast be sent to Arus Voltron must be formed in order to combat it.....

So that's essentially the basic origin plotline, I'd love some feedback from those that loved Voltron growing up as much as Transformers, and also from any artists out there that would be able to sketch the new Lions in both robot mode and Lion mode, as well as the fully combined Voltron. Keep in mind my thoughts on this are that the Lions and Voltron would look almost exactly the same as their 80's counterparts, the only new addition would be the robot mode, I'd also like all Lions to have a different Transformation scheme (a'la Sideswipe and Sunstreaker) and sketches must be toyetic ( easily made into a toy) as I may commission someone to make this unless someone just plain does it first.

Thanks guys!

Canonical rage!

I prefer Vehicle Force

What a strange fan fic

My idea for a Voltron-TFs crossover just involved Voltron kicking Devastator's tailpipe. And then the Constructicons use their engineering skills to find & exploit Voltron's weak points. In other words, Dev can't beat Voltron, but the Decepticon corps of engineers can! :tflaugh

Rattrap could be one of the mice (I know rats don't = mice but so what) that had the last/missing key.

Haha, I had actually thought of a sub-plot with the Vehicle force which would have involved a similar incident and subsequent cybertronian upgrade on either Planet Master or Nebulos, leaning more towards Planet Master though as I see it working better scalewise since Vehicle Voltron was comprised of 15 units, the micromasters would then be a better fit than most other tf's, though I do feel that Bumblebee and Cliffjumper would work out well as the two cars/feet

But first they have to rebuild Hook and Long Haul, given Voltron's propensity for chopping his opponents in half. :)

Transformers have guns

Blazing sword, melee weapon

Shoot him from afar

:P

;)

Voltron actually had long range weaponry too

I LOVE IT! It's a great way of combining the fandoms and I can visually see this happen in either 2 or 3-D. If further on there were more combining forces like finding a way to get Superion, Devastator and Computron in there as Vehicle Voltron (Seperate robots, seperate Combined Gestalt and then SUPER GESTALT VOLTRON! I think you may have something there. Especially if you go to supreme campy Power Ranger madness and decided to make a combo Lion and Vehicle Voltron.)

Zarkon discovers Vector Sigma and a way to bring more power to his robeast starting with CybertRoBeast Skorpinok!
