Something I've noticed about Soundwave

Recommended Posts

oh well, I was never really into the marvel comics anyway for some reason.

I think because of the corny plots like in issue #24(I think) of the US series Prime and Megs were in a video game. Prime accidently kills artificial life in order to defeat Megatron and Prime asks the video game programer (don't remember his name) to kill him. And BTW I really like your avatar.

his name was ethan zachary i remembered cause i always liked that issue for some reason.

Didnt the Uk comic go on for 1000 issues or something?

I noticed in G2comic Soundwave is not only purple but his head design is differant and he keeps his gun on his back(unlike mounted on his shoulder like the cartoon).

I never understood how in the old comic Spike becomes the head of Cerebros, who in turn becomes the head of Fortress Maximus but Fort Max is still no bigger than Galvatron. How is this possible? Size change physics? Mass shifting? anyone?

The colour thing was just a minor quibble with the printing process, nothing more.

If you didn't mentioned it I would have never realized that! I have not checked those comics in years and the times I did I'vre never noticed. But i've also noticed he was blue (a very dark shade of) on early comics (the earlies I have is #7), then he was colored purple.

I've also noticed, while browsing through some other issues to make sure it was not mistake, that Optimus Prime was painted in Ultra Magnus' colors in issue #9. See the pic bellow. This one is definitivelly a blooper (or a side oeffect of his head being removed?).

Thanks for the observation.

i also remember seeing a red and blue Skyfire in the background of one of the first few issues. Which is odd considering he had not been built yet.

Miscoloured TFs wasn't strictly isolated to the comics, the show had bunches of them.  Even dead TFs showing up to fight with the Decepticons.

As far as Soundwaves colour though, it stayed mostly consistent throughout the series as purple (from what I can remember).

I never took the comic as seriously as the show though.  Although it got better the last couple of years of its original run.

I seem to remember Brawn battling away in season 3 despite being very much dead.

I dont see how dark blue to kinda purple is considered a WHOLE different color...

I just mark it up to the really really bad artwork and coloring that Marvel was so good at in the early 80s...

If we want to nitpik most of the TFs in the marvel comics werent any color really just blobs of red and blue and whatever....
