Something I've noticed about Soundwave

Recommended Posts

I don't know if anyone else has ever noticed this, but the G1 comic Soundwave became purple. I don't know if anyone's ever mentioned it before, but it is an interesting observation. I'm surprised there hasn't been a purple Soundwave released for the collectors, but then again it might happen. Anyone else if noticed it?

Tony ! Good to have you aboard even with the name change !

I've never actually noticed this before. That's a pretty neat observation on your part ! Do you have any pics available so I can see more clearly what you are speaking of ?

Yeah, I can get pictures easily, give me a few minutes then and I'll go hunt two pictures out. I like this username, goes with my past and also because Smokescreen, the G1 and BT/Alt versions, are my favourite TF's next to Op. Prime and Prowl. Hang on then, I'll go get those pictures.

*Update(Man, I'm fast)* Here's the purple Soundwave, I'll add in a picture of his usual blue look as well-

Sorry about the added Starscream, was the best opposite picture I could find that actually worked.

What a horrible fan I am, never noticed this

yeah, he was purple in the Marvel US comic and blue in the Marvel UK comic. One thing I noticed about Soundwave that in the original US and UK comics, he talked like a normal TF, unlike his speech pattern in the cartoon.

Yeah, that was weird. I used to read the UK G1 TF comic when I was younger and the differences in some characters were pretty easy to see, the purple Soundwave appeared in the UK comic near the end. Could have been worse I guess, the could have made Fort Max smaller-oh wait, they did, they made him normal TF size, forgot about that for a second. What next? Op. Prime will be turned into a Micromaster? Or Prowl becomes an ill-logical gun firing maniac? Hmm, can imagine that actually...

Your comic books had the TF's voices ! :eek

I never ever noticed that before and feel like I should scold myself as well. He looks okay in the purple, but I prefer the original blue colour scheme. Still a neat observation nonetheless. :thumb

Maybe I should go TF nit picking more often, gives me something to do.

And also note that the purple on his head is much lighter than the rest of his body..... :wtf

weird that I never noticed that...it seems like I knew he was purple, but I never thought anything of it....oh well, I was never really into the marvel comics anyway for some reason.
