A little something I noticed about Master Megatron

Recommended Posts

Alright, here's the case: For sometime, I knew there was something familiar about GF Master Megatron's headdesign, but no matter what I tried, I couldn't discover what that was. But today, I was viewing some pics of G1 Megatron's toy, and then I noticed something. I quickly looked up a pic of GF Master Megs, and eerily enough, they matched. To be sure, I made a little comparison, which can be seen beneath. But now is the question: Is this a hidden homage, which wasn't picked up so easily, or simply coincidence?

Cool find. I would say homage, because of the fact that we recently saw GF Megatrons mostly grey color scheme

Good lord. Let the homages end Hasbro......please.......

Homages will never end. Optimus will always look like optimus and so forth.

That is one homage I can deal with. But Energon has been homage heaven. Prime being like G1 Prime is one of the few homages that can be done IMO.

I got my super homage fix with Energon. It's time to do something else now. Be more "inventive".

WTF? You guys are always pissing and moaning every time they don't do a character with the original headsculpt/colors/or alt mode ect ect. C'mon, don't be hippocrits.

Thanks for putting words in my mouth.

for once i agree with marx, most of the people that normally complain when a character doesnt look enough like the character they are a homage of, are the people who are now complaining that there are too many homages, which is it, to many or not enough?

But I am not one of those people.

As far as Cybertorn Megatron. I didn't think Megatron was a homage to anything other than having references to Energon Megatron and Unicron.
