FansProject Spin-Off MakeToy To Release a Devastator? Plus New Images of Upcoming Products

Recommended Posts

I would much prefer a set of all six together, I mean that puts me off the TFC version - having bits and pieces of Devy but being unable to combine them for another six or twelve months (and also still not knowing what two of the figures even look like!).

I will probably get the MT version, and maybe if the price drops also TFC, but having said that I'm going to say something very picky and admit that neither of these is what I consider a 'definitive' Devastator... Both have severe issues going on with individual bot modes looking nothing like they should. As far as I'm concerned there's still room for a Masterpiece or third party Devs that is bigger, better, and more accurate... Bring it on!

They need to just release it as 1 complete set as no one will want just a couple of the bots... $200 and I'll buy one... but no more.

I like the MakeToy version better so far. The big deciding factor for me will be the price though. I'd love to get Hercules but not at what they want. Plus Exgraver just looks bad.

There are several options they can package these guys in and a guesstimate price.

1 - Have all 6 ($290) - Limited and comes with some type of bonus

2 - 2 packs of 3 bots (Lower half and upper half) ($146)

3 - 3 packs of 2 bots (Arm limbs, leg limbs, torso) ($98)

4 - Individually ($50)

The packs and singles would be more appealing to the eye. So instead of being like: I don't have enough for the whole set, so I'll just buy 1 pack/figure and get the others when I have the funds.

I'm sure they know that there are some people who don't want to pay $300 up front when they can just buy hem in pieces. So I think they should have some sort of $10 discount and or throw in a bonus item to sucker you in.

I totally see your logic here, optics. And I personally like the idea of buying two at a time TBH. Funds are scarce at the moment, so breaking the set down into three segments would be great IMO

I just hate third party products sometimes because it's a crap shoot. Either you pre-order them early and pay out the ass or you risk not being able to get them at all, or paying even more for them later when they're hard to find.

For those of you who say $200 is your max, either your going to raise your max to $300. Or you wont be getting the MakeToy Devastator. I still think it would be easier to just buy them individually and slowly build it. I do think MakeToy will go the giftset route as an option also.

Well, give or take $50. It's still sure to be a far better alternative to TFC Devastator.
