BotCon 2011 - Transformers Collectors Club 2012 Freebie Is Runamuck; Runabout & SG Drift are Exclusives

Recommended Posts

I just hope they don't make the same mistake they made with Punch/Counterpunch and underestimate the demand. At that time they didn't factor in that so many people would want two and it sold out quickly. This time they've made the club incentive figure's partner their store exclusive so the demand is going to be incredibly high once again. If they don't consider that around 75% or more of their members are going to want this figure then they're going to be leaving a lot of angry fans out in the cold.

BTW, anyone know when this years exclusive Sideburn is due to ship? I've only heard them talk about Ramjet and Cheetor.

Okay, joining the club as soon as I get 40.00 I have waited a while for good renditions of the Decepticon cars.

Damn, the Runabout and Runamuck look GREAT! I want...without joining the club! :tfsad

Well, Runamuck is "free" with membership, and at the current prices they charger for membership and for individual Deluxes, that's cheaper to join than it buy Runabout. Just get the membership, and sell the magazine on ebay to help recoup the cost of joining.

Yeah, but they were real vague about when to expect it. I believe they said something like "if you don't get it by the end of July call us." I reckon we'll see....

They said that about Ramjet and Cheetor, they didn't say anything about Side Burn.

For those of you who purchased Ramjet and Cheetor we want to let you know that these will ship AFTER BotCon. Since so many of you are traveling this next week, we didn't want them showing up at your house while you were gone.

They said back during an April newsletter that it would ship after Botcon, but they haven't said anything recently, and didn't mention it at all in the latest newsletter about exclusives. So, maybe in July?

I believe delivery is 4-6wks after BotCon. I would estimate you'd receive your goods by mid-July.

I like them, but I think one of those should have been made using the Tracks mold.

:agree

It would have made a nice distinction between the 2. I got a great idea for clones now. Same mold 2 different transformations = Autobot clones :sneak

Isn't that kinda what they did with Universe Sunstreaker/Sideswipe and Punch/Counterpunch.

You know what after thinking about it, it would be the other way around. They would have the same Bot Mode, but have different Alt modes, so I guess not.

Yeah That is I guess what they did. Was Punch / Counterpunch 2 figures or 1 that had 2 bot molds?

It was one figure. It was really cool how they did it. Punch got the Sideswipe bot mode, Counterpunch got the Sunstreaker bot mode (it mat be the other way around) with the torso swiveling 180 degrees to give him two distinct looks. One had the Autobot rub sign. The other had the Decepticon rub sign. The head sculpt was the best. There were two faces and a visor that shifts to make the "helmet". Depending on how you shift the visor it either covers up the Autobot or Decepticon face to match the mode.

Still easily the best $60 Iever spent on a single TF.
