I'm not sure you can copyright a paint job on a vehicle.

 

 

The picture still has the Autobot logo on the grill, so they couldn't make the argument that it's just a paint job.

True, but how often do you see people driving around with Autobot and Decepticon logos on their cars? And how many of those TF car badges do you think are officially licensed? ;)

The difference with that is that people are doing it for fun, so it's no harm no foul. This on the other hand is using it to promote the business and is trying to make money off the logo, BIG legal difference.

Paying for the licensing fees to use the image take care of that problem real quick though.
