Autobot Creation Matrix, discuss your thoughts!

Recommended Posts

My personal memories of the Matrix are limited to just the TF:TM and the Marvel comics. I’ve always wondered who has held the Matrix since it was created? We all know Optimus Prime held it for thousands of years, but in the comics it became tainted and sought out other hosts like Thunderwing (I think that was his name).

Also, if the Matrix is so powerful b/c it is the collective souls/spark of all Autobots (at least that is what I always thought), why didn’t Megatron, Shockwave (not counting the Marvel series where he did) or Starscream try to corrupt it and use it for his own agenda? Thoughts? :tflaugh

The autobots kept it secret from the bad guys..and apparently the audience too...

then kids went "What is this crap!? we've seen into his chest a dozen times and it was never there!"

well to my knowledge the matrix can only be held by an autobot. no decepticon can use the power . i havent read all of the comics(from marvel) the way they are doing the dreamwave tfs, it goes along with the in between stories from the cartoon before the movie

"Look! It's the Autobot Plot Device of Leadership!"

yeah, the cartoon never mentioned the Matrix til the movie whereas the comic had it from the very beginning. In the comic, the Matrix is the essence of Primus which serves not only as a symbol of leadership but also a mystical talisman used against the forces of darkness. Primes, like Optimus, were charged with keeping this sacred talisman.

The almighty Primes were dropping like flys in the tv show! I mean in the one when prime comes back two life what were there about 2 to 3 hundred primes? Did A3 have the matrix? Why didn't primus boot the quints off off of himself? How did the quints make the transformers when primus did? Why didn't unicron show up earlier? And who are the rest of the first 13 transformers? Why doesn't primus ever transform? Could cybertron's moons tranform, and if they did, did they become weapons, or other robots?

I prefered it back in the very beginning when it was basically just a program for encoding personalities (life) to transformers (megatron tapped into it via a cerebro shell to create the contructicons in the UK continuity at least) as opposed to some form of religious artefact with the power to do wierd and wonderful things.

Primus hid himself from Unicron, so Unicron enlisted the Quintessons to go out and find Primus. They did, and instead of reporting back to Unicron, they enslaved Cybertron and all the Transformers. Then they made it look like they were responsible for the creation of the TFs, even though they were not. Primus was sealed away in the core of Cybertron to prevent Unicron from detecting him. If he took any action, Unicron would be able to locate him. Unicron had been banished through a black hole, and even though he had been "banished" he would be able to detect Primus' energies and find him. In the comic, there were no more than a half dozen Primes. After all, Optimus and most other TFs have been around for several million years. A3 turned out to be Alpha Trion, and some suspect that he was in fact Alpha Prime. But that hasn't been confirmed yet. We don't know who the rest of the 13 are, besides the Fallen, Liege Maximo, and Maccadam. Primus never transformed because he prefers to be at one with the universe, but it's rumored that he may in fact have a robot mode. We have no idea if the moons transform.

And about Primus and the creation Matrix, I am heavaly inflewanced by This essay.
