:pileon

I can do without more Bee's. Megatron is probably the first Movie Megs I've got excitement for. And Shockwave and Sentinel Prime are for sure picked up!

there really needs to be a leader class megatron and leader class shockwave in this line.

i mean, give megatron some justice, the first two leaders were.. well, compared to starscream and prime.. garbage. now he's got a great real world alt mode, an awesome robot mode ; one with two elbows (both are forward bending elbows) two symmetrical hands, an arm cannon, and an awesome gimmick type thing with having a cloak. but watch, we'll just get a voyager.

and shockwave.. he's supposed to be the main antagonist in the movie, so he should get a leader figure.. but then again so should the fallen. oh well.

so i guess leaders will be sentinel, bumblebee, and ironhide... and maybe shockwave, there's no room for megatron i guess which is really a crime. and complete bs. bumblebee really does not need a leader figure. they've already given him two larger scale figures that don't sell, is there really a need for another?

Bumblebee is the Pikachu of the Transformers world; they're counting on mindless Fan-ness to make people buy all his crap no matter how accurately the term "Crap" fits the product.

But yeah, hear hear, give me some good leader class 'cons and I'll buy 'em. If you don't I'm not going to settle for a Voyager class; I don't like the movies or their product line enough to invest in anything I don't really, really want, and the only thing I really, really want are good leader class incarnations of, ya know... the Leader size characters?

Still, I won't be surprised if Hasbro "Does it again" and only gives us %50 of the actual characters in the product line and a butt-load of filler toys; it seems to be their MO.

Just for play value think. Children that have 4 large hero robots generally would like villains to fight them of the same size. Hasbro said this line would be more catered to kids. And I'm betting down the road after the release of the movie we will see a leader megs. Maybe shock and soundwave. Astrotrain could be a supreme class like devastator. Heck they could repaint the leader class starscream into a thundercracker or skywarp. And since it looks like brawl is in the movie they could re release his leader class

That is one thing that REALLY surprised me. We all know Hasbro LOVES repaints, yet out of the first 2 movies, there's been very few for the Leaders. TF1 had Night Watch Prime, and then RotF had a Prime retool (blades were swapped out for battle hooks) and then Leader Megs, who was really hard to come across here. I was shocked we haven't seen a repaint of Brawl, Jetfire or Screamer (TF1 Megs doesn't surprise me). And especially when you consider the reuse some other molds have gotten *coughVoyagerRatchetcough*

Brawl did get a repaint once already. But they could do it again if they wanted to and thought it would sell. And I'm sure one day maybe ten years or so.they might repaint the jetfire mold. But I would bet on a SS repaint sooner..within the next year

Oh that's right ... the one with the bright "Allspark blue" all over :tfcry forgot about that one, sorry. And yeah, I would think the SS mold would have all sorts lined up haha

he looks way better then the other DOTM figures

Well both Leader Megatrons got a repaint, and 2007 movie Prime got 2 repaints. One thing to consider though is, the point of the repaint is to get the most out of each mold. When a toy is steadily being stocked like ROTF Leader Prime was, or being constantly used in gift sets (off holiday bonus packs, Costco gift sets, etc.) that pretty much negates the need for a repaint. Then we add in Takara's use of the mold and who knows, maybe a repaint wasn't needed. Jetfire was an odd one out, but I do think he was used in some gift packs as well.
