A Masterpiece grade seeker I've wanted to do for a long time. Went with a similar camo pattern to the Icestorm(s) I've done in the past, yet this camo pattern/style is built with flame shapes. I did some heavy modding/effects to the wings using the trusty dremel, some fire and hot glue. Of the classic/universe Sunstorms I've done in the past, this color palette seemed to get the best/highest feedback.View the Custom Gallery Here

very very .. did i say very? VERY cool. him and icestorm must look incredible together.

 

however, there's one thing i don't get. if sunstorm is supposed to be fiery, why would he have melted parts? i mean, doesn't sunstorm imply that he can withstand the heat?

 

anyways, that aside, i think the melting and fiery details look amazing.

The camo patterns on these guys are almost as dumb an idea as your The Junction custom. And for the umpteen quadrillionth time SUNSTORM ISN'T THE YELLOW RAINMAKER!

There's criticism, which can be helpful and then there's just down-right negativity, which is useless. Guess which one you're displaying?

After discovering that "The Junction" abomination, I see little reason to do anything but. Until I see that the damned thing's been destroyed, and FR has sworn not to make anything like that ever again, it's negativity all the way.

 

Even if he hadn't made that thing, the camo pattern is still dumb. It was a stupid idea when Hasbro put it on Acid Storm's toy in the first place, and FR is only propagating the idiocy. And both he and Kingbotz need to get it through their heads that Sunstorm is not the yellow Rainmaker.

 

I would do one better, and I will when/if I have a spare MP Seeker to paint. But that's a ways off. I'd rather paint a Classics Seeker into Sunstorm, it would work with the rest of my collection better.

Seriously? That's the lamest reason I've ever seen, or heard, for negativity.

I personally thought "The Junction" was epic, seeing how off the wall it is and all XD.

 

Anyways, Hasbro is kinda the one that put the whole "yellow sunstorm" thing in everyone's mind. Plus this and his Acid Storm are pretty faithful to their idw appearances, with some Dreamwave features thrown in.

 

 

Anyways, I never quite understood why people are always so critical towards customizers. What they do is art, and they should have the right to fully express their vision on the canvas. Also I see nothing wrong with them selling their work, if someone likes a certain piece and they are willing to pay a exuberant price to have it, then so be it. That's just how things work in the art world.
