Marvel paid Hasbro for the comic license and Hasbro pays marvel for the toy license. I don't consider Marvel a third party either. Maybe a second party, since it takes two separate companies to license product to each other

 

To me a third party is a company that reproduces ie create, release an unofficial product directly related to the original owning company product. Without consent or pay a small fee to the owning company.

Either way, the point I was trying to make is that a cross over between GIjoe and TF would be an internal cross over since both are owned by Hasbro.

ok I understand you now, because both are under Hasbro. It really would not be a 3rd party, I don't think it would be a second party either. Maybe a sub-line of both Brands? I think I'm off. It might be in the realm of Crossovers though

Only thing is GI Joe and Transformers have been intertwined since the 80's. So they might actually be in the same Universe. And Hasbro keeps them separate in the toy lines

So you say. I'm just not sure why you have to play the card that "TFormers is outnumbered and therefore wrong" to try and change people's minds.

My comment was in responce to me being told that my argument was beaten here on TFormers and on the other sites.

 

But, at the time, both sides shared the same number of supporters here but the other side was outnumbered on other sites.

I've always wanted GI JOE and TF mixed. There was that G2 toy that never made it past prototype stage and Titanium Megatrons bio, but a HISS tank or something would be special.

Plus its Hasbro that owns both properties so really there is no second party, unlike Star Wars and Marvel.

Yesh, thats was my idea even back in the 80's.

 

I know very little about Joes, so I dont know which Joes would be good partners, but I thought the Head/Target/Power master tech was the perfect way to intergrate the 2 lines.

It would be, you could have Cobra creating the technology first, since Dr Mindbender is kind of insane and Destro being the arms dealer. It would be right up their alley
