Oh, and to acttually answer your question about Bruticus, there was:

 

1. G1 Bruticus (1986)

3. Battle Gaia (1992 Japan)

4. RID Ruination (2001)

5. Wal-Mart Excl. "Urban Camo" Ruination (2003)

6. Transformers Universe Ruination (2004)

 

And various knockoffs from China, including a couple in which the molds were enlarged for bigger figures.

Well, the first six were official releases, but I just think it's funny that we haven't seen a G1 reissue set for this guy as it would be the easiest and cheapest for Hasbro/Takara to do.

Also...there are too many good new affordable toys. There's really no reason they should keep reissuing old toys, especially since considering they don't even sell. They're overpriced, too small, too under-detailed, and lack any coherent play value. Pour those funds into the new lines and let that G1 ship sink already, the captain drown years ago.

I used to be: I don't care about those reissues because I already got most of them, besides they're 20 year old toys and a lot of the newer toys are so much better. Predaking, however, was never released in Europe and I just couldn't resist him. As for other reissues. Well, Swoop is very expensive on e-bay, so if was reissued I would probably get him. Omega Supreme might also be nice. Perceptor would also be welcome. Others really don't interest me.

 

What would interest me in reissueing these toys, is if they would update them. Same alt-mode, same robot mode, but highly poseable and a way to store al those extra parts. I think it would be possible and then, and only then, would I probably buy most of them.
