What about fanmodes? See, I made this combination between Cybertron Metroplex, Optimus and Wing Saber. Would that count? (I'll have pic's soon.)

I'll decide upon the pic :P

depends on the combination. if it really looks like multiple robots combining into 1 then it is combining. few examples are the following

Gestalts (Non-Scramble City, Scramble City, and Maximus type), Sixwing, Decibel, Slamdance,

Really shouldn't count Omega Prime or God Fire Convoy, since its more of a power-up through combining. but the argument could go either way. So to avoid an argument. Omega Prime's type of combining is allowed. But Optimus Megazord from Energon is not allowed due to him combining with drones. And none of the Energon Autobots are allowed because it has to be specific robots. Not to whoever is around at the time

Though having Metroplex combine with Optimus Prime is really interesting and I want to see it

What's the difference between Slamdance and Omega Prime? Does Dash, Mach, etc count as combiners?

I agree the 2x bots don't count as gestalt but they do count as combiners. So its not technically wrong if we can call RID Combatrons Combiners (its on the package) but gestalts are combiners too.

So if the topic were "biggest gestalt" then no, Omega Prime wouldn't count.

Well, in terms of mass, there's a fan-mode combining a dual-lion-arm version of Savage Claw Mode with Sonic Wing Mode (Wing Saber sits on top of Optimus' regular Super Mode backpack, held on by the tilted-back backpack straps and the chestplate) that could give a lot of contestants a run for their money.
