Yeah, 'cause "Rodimus" did so well the first time around. We really need a whole new series built around that crap.

With how they were writing Rodimus in the cartoon after the movie, they had him questioning himself which was a far cry from the Rodimus Prime in the movie. It was only before the return of Optimus. That Rodimus was showing how to be a true leader and worthy successor to Optimus Prime. In Headmasters Rodimus was was every bit the leader that Optimus Prime was.

One thing about Transformers in the US is. It's always been the story of Optimus and Megatron. And that is how Hasbro and fans in the US usually see it. I'll admit it. I'm a Rodimus Fan but I was stoked when Optimus came back at the end of the American G1 cartoon. But I loved The Headmasters cartoon, and how Hot Rod reverted back into Rodimus Prime with out the Matrix.

Now for Shockwave That head placard looks good, But I do want to see what he fully looks like. Hopefully Megatron will be kept out of TF 3 they wont release a Megatron leader toy, and in its place we will have a Shockwave leader toy. IMO Shockwave is more badass then Megatron

From cartoons to comics I can't think of a single incarnation of Hot Rod that wasn't a douche. The closest was in Animated where he had the good sense to die before wearing out his welcome.

Now I'll grant you I've never seen the Headmasters cartoon and can't render an opinion there. However, I have a hard time believing the writers could portray him as a competent leader without selling out the source material.
