I went to TRU yesterday not expecting to find much, and lo and behold they had the new Hunt for the Decepticons DLXs, Power Core Combiners and HftD VYGR Payload and Ratchet.

 

Anyways, I picked up Ironhide and Bumblebee, since those were the only ones I was interested it getting right then (PC Combiners will be around, Ironhide and Bumblebee may be hot items). Anyways, I was checking out Bumblebee and I notices his axe is upside down. I'm going back today to see if any are left and if any have the same thing going on. Before I do however, does anyone else who might have him have this problem. It seems almost like it might be a simple fix really. Cut off the end and glue it back on the other way

 

EDIT: Well, I tried it and no, it doesn't work at all. Oh well. It's not a hard figure to replace...there were twenty Bumblebees at the store the other day. I'll just go back this morning and get another and give his axe to my current one.

I do like the figure, he's the only recent deluxe movie BB I've gotten, so the new mold is a nice treat.

 

I can't help but think expanded universe when I see him though. The figure would make a good Wasp if it was green and yellow.

I prefer my HA anyday...

 

But I did find a nice use for his fore arm plates.

 

Just unscrew the arms of both BB and HA BB. Swap out the seats for the yellow blaster / blade.

 

The posts are the exact same size!

I saw alot of battle blades bumblebee and ironhide ( 8 each )......not impressed at all. Regardless of the new molds it is still the same old movie line reformatted. Don't get me wrong I have my fair of movie figures, but the only one that I think is worth the price of admission is the leader starscream. Next time I am in TRU I will scoop him up.

Again, I guess my only issue is his axe being upside down. I've tried looking at it every way possible and I can't find a workable solution to making it right side up. I've even looked to see if his arm pieces could be switched, nope. It just looks so weird to me.
