I'm not gonna try it, but I have been to toy stores and seen all kinds of stuff, transformers mistransformed in package, missing limbs, missiles, weapons, torn boxes returned, poorly taped boxes returned, and yes even toys swapped. Once I even saw Energon Landmine missing the cab section, it took me ONE SECOND ONE GLANCE, to spot something odd about the box, and BAH! I immediately knew something was fishy, I told one of the employees, he said he would show it to the manager, next week I return to the toy store and see the same toy back in the shelf,

You can laugh all you want (that is until your stomach starts hurting) LOL

but I know what I saw

First... It's nice to know your desire to collect supercedes such things as morals.

Second, you are right, there is nothing but employee experience to know if something is tampered with.. and most employees won't care to argue... Plus I do not know the specific return policies of every retail store.

That said... I, for one, have a pretty good memory about things, especially considering you need to sign your name and leave ID if you are returning anything. Most computer systems allow one to flag certain information if it is suspicious...

In other words, if you meet up with an intellegent employee and a good paper trail.. you may be able to fool the system once... second time I'd refuse. Third time I'd ask you not to return.

What are you, my counselor?

Where do you get these guys???

Anyway, just take a look at the new topic titled "Saw something terrible today", read it, and you'll know that this swap return as I call it has happened in toy stores all over the world.

Oh and another thing, can u write clearer cause I barely understood the words in your vocabulary, anyway,

can u believe it fans? Someone returned an alternator with energon rodimus in the box!!!!!!!!! how the hell do you get away with that?

I mean I've seen people do all sorts of sh*t but this is absurd!!!!!!!

So, are you saying that just because it happens everywhere it's OK for you to do it as well? Lemme guess, you smoked in high school because it was cool, huh? :tfhuh

actually, Hamster, his grammar and vocabulary are quite correct. you, on the other hand, have questionable typing skills.

the point he was trying to make is that most employees just don't give a damn if someone is returning an item that's been swapped, broken or in some way messed up. the majority of TrU, KB and WalMart employees (the ones that you'd be dealing with, anyway) usually make $6 or $7 an hour. do you really think they have any desire to get into it with someone who may, or may not be trying to scam the store? i know i wouldn't. not my problem.

on another note, anyone who would pull something like that, in my opinion is a total scumbag. i'm a collector, and i love enhancing my collection, but i'm not going to do anything so purile, and time consuming, just to add something to my "inventory". that's not scoring due to human error. not like if someone rings up the wrong amount, and you end up getting an alternator for $1.99 or something. sure, the "right" thing to do is inform the cashier of the correct price. but, no one would really do that. you didn't make the error, the computer did. but, you didn't consciously go out of your way to scam the store; like switch a price tag or something.

basically, don't flame the other posters just because they think you're wrong for pulling a scam (or contemplating one).

Recalls having gone to a Jesuit high school in Manhattan and graduating with honors as a prestigious and articulate individual, a leader of tomorrow. Recalls winning the New York Lottery Scholarship because his essay was chosen as the best in his high school. Recalls attending a college where he excels and one day plans to revolutionize the world. Dreams of becoming the next Head of Transformers. Recalls having written more essays than you ever will and in addition writing TF fanfics for TF Lexicon (30-page script by the way), renown stories for Xavier High School's Literary Magazine, etc etc etc.

Oh Ravage, you're an enjoyment, a laughing matter. I'm actually sick and tired of trading words with you because I've realized one thing, your existence is of no use to me.

hey athenor, before you start calling idiots, look at yourself and the other TF fan before you.

It's true that Scavenger and Treadbolt have different paintjobs but that doesn't mean you can't fool an employee. here's why:

If you look at Energon Treadbolt's box, the back shows Armada Scavenger. There is literally no trace of pictures showing Energon Treadbolt except the artwork which doesn't make a difference. I could easily buy Energon Treadbolt, put Armada Scavenger in the box, and return the toy. The employee would look at the toy, then look at the back of the box (he or she would see that they're the same toy) and guess what, they wouldn't realize what I had done. There would be one exception to this: if the employee knows about Transformers, then he or she wouldn't fall for it.

So Athenor, you're the idiot.

Whether or not you are just trying to tell TFans that it's easy to get away with stealing (don't try to justify it, it still is), other stupid people reading this boards will decide, "Hey that's not a bad idea!". If you don't want to take flak from posting unethical things like this and tell scumbags "Hey, it's easy to steal! Just do this....", then don't bother posting at all.

Don't cause flame wars here. Every one is entitled to his opinion, and it seems that the majority in this thread is against you. I have noticed that you have been posting more of this crap before, and when some TFans speak up to disapprove of it, you get all defensive and try to move the spotlight on someone else. Get a hint. I'm also wondering why you got offended when Athenor called these thieves "idiots", unless of course you are one of those people who have a severe lack of morals.

This is fraud. Plain and Simple. It's nonsense like this that helps toi leave old TF's clogging the shelves, with no new stock to be seen.

Mods, please lock or even better delte this thread.

Even the thought of doing what you people desire to do sickens me....

But yes, the service desk people at the Wal-Mart I work at are stupid

Ocasionally, we'll get Burger King or McDonalds toys in returns (I just keep em ) And very rarely do I see any Transformers in returns

And if I do, I'd probably check it out before putting it back on the racks

And they also have a tendancy to look at something (say, a My Little Pony ornament ) and dump in in the toys return bin.... Even when it clearly says on the box which dept. it belongs in....

I don't encourage swaping figures, but I do believe it's possible to do, and it's horrible as well......

Not to mention, it makes me hate some of you people over it.... And I don't like to hate anyone at all!
