I'm sure it will be nice, but at $135 I have to pass. It would take more then a slight price drop to get me to buy this a 5th time.

I came a little late to the party and missed this Unicron entirely. I saw it once in the universe line at toys'r'us but didn't pick it up. If I don't have this in my collection is it worth adding? Also, do you guys think this is the one to go for or should I look for one of the older incarnations?

depends on alot of things... do you mind if its out of box? Because I have noticed that on occasionally you can get one for a very good deal. But if your wanting one in box... DONT FEED THE SCALPERS. Just get this one, because the scalpers probably want alot more for him. Plus this one is supposed to have a better head sculpt.

To me Unicron is one of those Must Have figures, so yeah you should go get one.

I can't say though if you should get this or an older version though as I haven't seen it.

You should definetly have 1 though, it really doesn't disapoint!

 

I thought he originated in the Armada line? Whatever, I can't see the point in just retooling the head. If anything the head is one of the parts I'd leave as is, while giving him a better chest, feet and more rounded planet mode.

 

...Heck never mind all that, just give me a brand new Unicron mold at Fort Max scale please! :D

yep, he started in Armada, had a Black Repaint in Energon* then a TRU exclusive Universe 2.0 reissue.

 

In Energon most Unicrons where the Armada vesion in the Black Unicron box. It seems they drasticly over produced the initial wave of the figure(ah the $14.95 Unicron clearance sales). Only a few thousand Black Unicrons where actualy produced making it verary hard to come by at the time.

 

I lucked out and got both mine at the $14.95 clearance price on 2 seperate outtings due to the item being mislabled :thumb
