Who wants to see Protector... IN COLOR?!?!

Recommended Posts

Keep in mind that this IS a digibash. But I based it on the original concept art released by FP.

I have not yet colorized the other angles or the guy in bot mode just yet. But here is the original line art of the bot mode. It should be a good example of what I come up with later.

EDIT:

Pictures of protector colorized now uploaded! Also on the chest flame detail, it is not a error. It appears fansproject has not completely sculpted the chest as it is not completely symmetrical. Well that or their camera did not pick up the detail in that area.

You forgot the flames on the side of the trailer

ehh, I kinda left the flames uncolored on purpose, I think it looks better that way. I can color them though :P

The colors really show off the blockiness of the trailer; it doesn't really go with Hot Rod. It's kind of sad that the original toy is far more streamlined.

I am working on coloring the flames on the trailer, but it is proving to be difficult because there is alot of area's that lack detail, which is what I use as a guideline.

I have completed colorizing the bot mode pic, which I have now attached it to the first post. Also if I end up doing any other pictures I will sadly have to attach them via my picasa account, because I have ran out of space for attachments and I do not want to compress the images into a jpeg as it causes further detail loss.

EDIT: I just discovered that I can attach 1.7 mb to every post I make... So I wont be needing to go to picasa after all :D

it does help alot!

If it helps I believe theres a colored rendering in the back of the Dia Commander instruction book.

I'll try and find a scan.

Eitherway, I do like this set and the work you did on this.

Really?

Ill have to look at my DIA instructions when I get home.

It may be in the first TFCon version, not sure, but it is out there.

I wanna see I wanna see! NIce Digibashing skillz though. I'm kinda liking it I only wish that the trailer were a lot more transformable and that the chest plate were a part of the alternate mode in some way.
