BT Meister

Recommended Posts

I just got my Limited Edition (i think it is/ the red one) Meister. I already own ALT Meister, but i'm debating wether or not i should open it or not. I'm not really that type of person to keep it in the box and dispaly it. It'd be nice to have it next to the white Meister though. Should i open it?

Yes. Open it.

I own 400+ transformers and only 20 are opened. That includes Binaltech that I have. In fact, I've opened all my Alt. and Blt. They are too damn cool not to open. I open it really carefully like I use a knife to cut the tape, not cut thru it, but to pry it the tape off so I can close it later if I want.

Anyway, I say open.

well this is my first BT.... but i wouldnt want it to get all chipped when i transform it, since i heard that the paint comes off easily.

Yeah defintely open that bad boy up... its a shame to have such a cool toy and not display it out of the box when possible. As far as being a limited edition figure i can't say for sure whether that statement is true or not, since the intial shipments of BT Meister came with equal numbers of white and red versions per case assortments. I'm not sure what ratio future shipments will come out to, but either way the red one is something that although maybe not limited edition is a much rarer site at least in the states that is. A final word of caution though mate, like you stated earlier you should be careful when you transform him because paint chips come very easily to meister because of his complicated transformation, its alot more visible in the white version, but the red one is just as susitable so make sure to do it carefully and expect alot of the pieces to fall off (arms, hood) which i'm sure you already figured out through transforming alt. meister.

hmmm i guess i should open it then. I have an extra TFU Nemesis Prime, should i open that as well?

I have four BTs. Admittedly Sideswipe has some scratches on the side of the hood where it rubs against the leg pieces--honestly, they could have designed this better, since there's absolutely no way for it to get past without grinding--but he's the only one and it's not visible in altmode. I've transformed the rest multiple times without scratching incidents, and I freely admit I'm one of the least coordinated people on this planet. I don't get where all the scratching complaints come from. You should be careful, yeah, but the paint doesn't fall off THAT easily.

Oooooooopen it!

The red version is NOT limited. It was produced in equal quantities as the white BT version.

What he said.

The red one is not limited. It was produced in the same quantity as the white one.

Like I said. I have alot of transformers that are still MISB but I opened all the Alt. and Blt.

This being your first, I say open that bad boy. You will be suprise at how cool die-cast metal makes it. After that, it will be hard to go back to Alternators again.

yeah open it, the red is cool but not quite the same as on the plastic as it is on the metal, the limited part was just a myth, there are loads about, i open all my stuff v carefully, only thing i havent opened was a botcon cyclonus

I'm not sure what other BTs you have but meister is very susitable to paint chips and the arms fall off at almost the slightest of movements, i've found this to be the case with both my bt and alt. versions. BT tracks (yellow) is also very susitable to paint chips mainly because of his pain in the ass transformation and his inability to pose that well.
