Any news on the release of the Animated Line's Perceptor figure? Last I remember sketches were release for this well over a year ago as well of Wheeljack. I know that there are still some Animated figures that are newly being released (e.g. Arcee), so I am assuming that the series is not completed done. I tried to do a search on this, but have not found anything. Anybody have the latest?

So far as I remember, there are no plans for a Perceptor toy, nor are there plans for a Wheeljack toy.

Theres a slim chance that Takara might make one. It's very slim though as all they really seem to be doing is repainting the Hasbro line, with some gitchy knick nacks added in. Nothing substantial.

That's dissapointing to hear. I'm a big fan of Perceptor and I would love to see a new interpretation.

Who knows maybe you'll get lucky and they'll make a Takara exclusive Animated Perceptor....or even better a Takara exclusive Omega Supreme :drool

He was originally gonna be done but the waning support during that whole season 3 is ending thing didnt bode well for Percy. Takara MAY make him. But there are still plenty of Hasbro molds for them to milk, and they wont get to Perceptor's brief appearance in the series for awhile. With any luck they'll not only make Percy but a bunch of other guys we missed out on as well. In particular the Constructicons, Omega and Sari.

I hope Animated goes down a storm in Japan, and they end up making Perceptor, Wheeljack, Omega, Constructicons etc...

 

Weird how this is the reverse of the usual situation; with lines like G1 and Beast Wars there were toys who never made it into the tv show, not the other way around!

they really screwed up with the Activators and Supreme Prime. They really should have used those classes for filler figures like past lines have.
