Guys/Gals:

 

Ever since I saw those TF: Cybertron toys and got my TF bug rekindled in full gear, I've been wondering what the quality of the US versions will be.

 

Now I know this is mere speculation at this point. But I have no clue as to the US versions' standard of quality. Up to now, I've only collected BT and have an MPOP.

 

I haven't collected since childhood and completely missed out on BW, Armada, Energon.

 

Can you guys/gals give me a comparison as to what the quality has been for US releases/ trends in recent series? Do you think this bodes well for the quality of the next series?

 

The reason I'm asking is because I'm drooling over these pics and want some idea as to how to 'prepare'.

 

I know there's been differences, US energon prime was larger than the Japanese version? etc.

the US relieses usaly are far less show acc. Takara is known for better qualitie but there are a few flukes like Big Convoy, and SL Kicker

 

E-Prime was the same sixe a Grand Convoy, Grand Convoy had diecast and is more show acc than E-Prime, You must be thining of the more afordable Delux version.

whats wrong with Big Convoy?

Mine as a loose neck and I have heard from other fans that there BC have loose joints too. (mabie it is just the cheap Korean versions?)

Am I right in thinking that Energon Bulkhead has lights and sounds but the Superlink Sprang version doesn't?

I have found that the quality of the mainline (Energon, Armada, etc) have been solid, nothing has been poor in regards to plastic or paint apps. Universe tends to be far more iffy.

 

As far as the issue on cartoon accuracy, that tends to be a bit iffier, in Armada, Takara was much more show accurate, though with Energon, the cartoon seems to have taken a middle ground between Hasbro and Takara.

 

We have no information on the US release of Galaxy Force (or Cybertron as it will be called here), so it is not known if there will be any significant changes between certain figures (like Hasbro and Takara versions of this year's Megatron)

SL Sprung is more show acc!

What about the sounds and lights? I heard someone say that Sprung doesn't have them. Is that true or not?

Im not sure but I thing Spring is anoyance free

Grand Convoy has diecast? The reason I ask is because all of the Takara figs that I have from Energon are made from plastic.

 

So where is the diecast on SL Convoy?
