Not the best Prime mold and kinda fat but i perfer Him over super pants armada Prime. energon prime is pretty fun though.

Energon Prime is not as bad people make Him out to be.

He looks pretty decent in super mode!

DONT believe the hype. Yea, he's got a belly, but the whole combo play factor is really great. He is also surprisingly well articulated in both modes. One of my favorite Prime molds for sure.

No problem. Its all about the Primehood! The fig has a bad rap. I admit I was kinda meh about it too at first. I have to give Remy the credit for making me see it was a sweet fig. :tflaugh

If it didn't look so much like a Megazord it would be better. I think all the hate is about the mismatching of the Super Mode's colors... oh, and he's pudgy

I liked Energon Prime from the second I took him out of the box. He was very welcomed after Armada Prime. The head was always a little weird to me, but still I thought it was a creative aproach to the idea.

 

One thing I think of about this Prime is that his Armada body was beat to scrap, so he had to be rebuilt. Thats a given. He was also rebuilt during a time of peace though, giving his normal mode a more relaxed stature.

 

As for the idea of him bing "fat" I see it more as his body was rebuilt with larger engines and generators that he would need to properly utilise his 4 new limb components as apose to his previous 1.

 

I know this will always be one of the most underrated Primes, and I do wish the limbs where more uniform in color. To me though, especialy concerning versatility and play value he is one of my favorite Primes.

 

Lets look at the Prime combiners before him,

PM Prime, well, he can do jumping jacks, but thats about it.

RID Prime, well, it's hard to hold a candle to that guy, however the segmented shoulders and chest do tend to come off easy.

Armada Prime, sometimes the trailer changes on it's own and thats cool, but otherwise it was a real weird looking statue

Energon Prime, outside of being bulky has none of those issues and still leaves a base behind when combined

 

You can nit pick, but really, he's just a great step forward, or at least he was foir his time cause Cybertron Prime just blew him out of the water :D

Cybertron Prime is by far one of the best. I still perfer Powermaster Prime though. RiD Fire Convoy is awesome!

I have a bunch more who act in different ranks, each a dignitary or leader on their own right. All Primes are members of the Convoy Counsil on my shelves, but those are the figures at the top of the ladder.

RID Prime and G2 Lazer Prime while qualified, choose to stay in the field and hold more of an ambassidor title.

Energon Prime, he generaly inspects and developes new construction projects.

Well, I admit the Santa Prime looks good, with the limb pieces all the same color. I guess I would buy one of those, but certainly not the original Energon Optimus Prime.

Slap those limbs on the origional version and you have a winner!
