Orci and Kurtzman - Transformers 3 Decision Based Mostly On Lack Of Time

Recommended Posts

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen screenwriters Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman have stated that their reason for not returning to write Transformers 3 was due to time. Their lack of time and current dedication to Fox television series Fringe and Cowboys and Aliens has kept them from feeling comfortable with taking on the duties of writing another feature film, the duo tells IGN during the 2009 Screenwriting Expo. Like they did such a fine job on the first two when they were NOT rushed :roll

It might be good to get new perspective on the franchise. Then again someone could mess it worse. Still i think this might be better.

Wish people would just drop the whole Skids & Mudflap crap. Everyone was so offended by them because everyone seems to have forgotten that the transformers (in movie-context) learned human languages from the internet. The twins obviously focused more on hip-hop and youtube. They are like young kids who imitate what they see and hear without the sensibilities one learns with age.

Except that issue wasn't brought up until you posted about it. I wasn't enchanted with either script and it has way more to do than with the twins tyvm :bounce

I think that's why they're such a point of contention. A lot of people can't stand little jackass kids on youtube and in real life. What was the point of promoting this jackassery so prominently in a film that didn't need it? Oh yeah, jackass kids act like jackasses to get their parents to buy them toys. And because I'm so fond of the word, one more time: Jackass. :tfevil

I love stereotypes, Because they are true. all my other robot friends who try to act black all sound like mudflap and skids.

Actually it was "brought up" multiple times in the artile. One of the major questions addressed was if Orci and Kurtzman felt they were unfairly blaimed for the Twins' dialogue.

Right. But If you realize they are just kids and don't know better, you can forgive them. I think it was important to the movie to show that there were generations of transformers that were inexperienced and less fucused on war and more fucused on fun.

Oh... my bad (pulls head from ass)
