First Look at WalMart Exclusive Universe Hardhead in the Box

Recommended Posts

Thanks to machacc who has posted a new image of WalMart Exclusive Universe Hardhead in the box. This toy is a true repaint, mold changes from the orginal, of the Transformers Universe Onslaught action figure. Hardhead was first shown at BotCon 2009 and is shown in the actual Universe box, not the ROTF packaging we saw Superion packed in. Headhead is slated to be in released in stores this October.

Why? *sigh* ...pass...

Cuz the Onslaught mold was the only one out of the ultras (Silverbolt, Powerglide) not to be redecoed. It was bound to happen eventually.

If you missed this the first time, get it!

Otherwise, theres no need for this to be.

It's a great mold and certainly deserving of another go, but a terribly uninspired choice of repaint. I'd have liked to have seen an homage to one of Onslaught's own many repaints instead. :P

That's not a bad idea. I think even a garish, G2 color scheme would have been more appropriate than making Onslaught into G1 Hardhead.

If they did some realistic colors and kept him a Decepticon, he would be an "ultimate" army builder. Since they aren't he'll remain my Decepticon ground command assault general.

Honestly, IF they wanted to do a Hardhead homage instead of pulling names frome the air, the green redeco of CD Scattershot would have been much more apropriate intsead of calling him Overload.

I'll just wait for it to be on clearance again like Onslaught. This is a good mold to make customs out of....not much else though. Hardhead who? :lol

It's no worse as Hardhead than it was as Onslaught. The mold doesn't look like either character.
