my first non G1 figure...

Recommended Posts

My recommended picks:

RID: Optimus, Ultramagnus

Energon: Starscream, Galvatron, Slugslinger, Sharticon, Divebomb, Rodimus, Inferno, Unicron, Dreadwing (I love purple but Dreadwing is just so wicked, its like how Weltall looks on xenogears.), Wingsaber and Optimus together or its pointless to get Optimus at all. Got my eye on the constructicons though. They're quite lovely looking as well as grimlock and swoop. Combaticons too

Armada: Skywarp (OMG he's so sexy), Hoist.

Alternators: Grimlock, Jazz, Windcharger

Universe: Ramjet, Nemesis Prime (GOD I want him, though he's a freaking mammoth) :tfsad

Hey, just in case you didn't know, that Nemesis Prime is one of the tougher finds since it was released in Armada's last wave. It's also one of the coolest in Armada, so great find, man. It's great that you're coming out of your G1 purist shell, a lot of these guys don't know what they're missing.

Don't confuse the guy....

Okay.

Transformers Universe Nemesis Prime is a repaint of a Japanese-ONLY toy named "Big Convoy". He's from a Japanese Beast Wars cartoon.

Transformers Armada Nemesis Prime is the original character, the one that the Big Convoy repaint was based on. This toy is a repaint of the deluxe/Supercon sizeclass Armada Optimus Prime.

In character, Nemesis Prime is a Transformer, yanked out of some far-away dimension/time, by Unicron. He has been reformatted and stricken with madness, to seek out and destroy anyone in his path, including Decepticons, as he did in Armada. Being that he is infected with Unicron's cells, he has an odd shape-shifting power, and he really can't be destroyed.

Unicron's cells are like little parasites that can attach and reformat Transformers. These cells are what The minicons, Nemesis Prime, Unicron, and Sideways are all made of. Recently in Energon, Galvatron, The Terrorcons, Scorponok, Snowcat, Demolishor, and Mirage are all made from these cells. Altho they don't contain the power of Unicron, they are still a part of him. The difference being that Nemesis Prime, Sideways, and the Minicons all contained Unicron's spark, where as the Decepticons listed in the Energon series do not.

Cool. We don't get to see the newer TF cartoons over here so I have no idea about their stories.

Mr. J Jam said that he got was a repaint of Supercon Armada Prime, and was supposed to tell him that but X-Bob messed it up with all his Big Convoy stuff. Next time X-Bob, don't obsess to much on TF characters, storylines and others, especially the Japanese ones when they have nothing to do with the topic. J Jam's just starting out with the new, don't try to cram the TF universe mythology down his throat.

I saw a couple of Universe Nemesis Primes at my local Target last week. It is a pretty darn cool figure in robot mode, and I like the whole "dead matrix" idea. But the woolly mammoth mode.... well I never was that much into pre-Transmetals Beast-era toys anyway. At least he has bloody tusks (which I believe Big Convoy also had, but at least it's a bit more fitting with this guy). :tflaugh

Oh it's all cool. I'm totally digging all these info...it's makes it even more fun getting into collecting and why. Yeah, I had such hesitation on getting Universe Nemesis Prime...for a minute when I got home I kept my reciept just in case. But dude, it is an incredible fig....even though it's a mammoth.

Here's my additional research on Nemesis Prime.

Check this out.
