Was there ever a decepticon who turned Autobot?

Scavenger, Dinobot, and Armada Starscream...

Watching my free G1 Season 1 DVD's I got this week ( see thread ), I learned that Skyfire wasn't a Decepticon per se as he and Strarscream were buds 'before the Decepticon's final falling out with the Autobots.' He and Megatron didn't even know each other. Skyfire was a scientist, not a warrior.

 

When he was inducted into the Decepticon fold, he did so half-heartedly. Then he joined the Autobots and sacrificed himself to save the earth from crystals draining the earth's core of its heat energy (I hate when that happens!). I still don't know how he got brought back to life to be in future episodes.

 

I got a question! Have any Autobots ever turned to the Decepticon side? I know Megatron reprogrammed the Constructicons from good to bad. Have any others turned?

Skyfire Was a Decepticon, he just didn't believe in the Decepticon cause, remember the faction symbles are realy Slave Brands. on a Side not If I recall the Constructicons had Con Faction Symbles in The Secret of Omega Supream, didn't megs just convert them to soulders?

 

as for Bot to Con, ShadowStricker, U-Blackarachnia, U-Razorclaw, SL-Inferno, Rhinox/Tankorr, Silverbolt/Jetstorm, Obsidian, Strika, ML-Rampage(A-Wheeljack) and thats all I can think about

Bro, that drawing looks NOTHING like Soundwave....and for the record, he's talking about Beachcomber in the Energon comic...besides having a sort of faceplate design, It really doesn't look like Soundwave. Why jump to conclusions about this stuff? It's as if you want to be angry and complain...

Even in the dub I believe it talks about how optimus and scavenger met and I recall it saying that they were on opposite sides but then realized they would be better off as allies. Does anyone else remember this?

Bot to Con what about sideways?

Does tarantulas count, didn't he betray Megs to the Tripredacus council. Not exactly changing to a bot/maximal but he did betray megs to another faction.

Sixshot changed sides in the Japanese Headmasters and helped Daniel.

I was alreadly thinking of waiting for E. Beachcomber rather than getting E. Cliffjumper, but those pics have definitely sold me on him. I see the resemblance to Soundwave, mostly from the color scheme used. There should be more TF's with a blue color scheme. That'd be sweet.

Octane never went Autobot, he was just under their protection for a bit. And he and Sandstorm talked like they were old buddies. After the second ep dealing with that, you never saw him again.

Sideways isn't an Autobot or a Decepticon....He isn't even a Transformer.

The whole Scavenger and Optimus thing is more like Optimus and Rodimus. They are on the same "autobot" side. But they have different, at times drastically, view points on the same subject and means of doing things. But they realized that "they're combined power was far greater and that more could be done with them working together than against each other".

 

I mean, when Hotshot was confused about his role as commander.

Scavenger just gave hima beat down.

Optimus would be like, no, violence is not the answer. Hotshot must learn to build faith in his friends and allies. He will find his own answer in his own time

Rodimus would probably be like, ur compassion and ur loyalty are admirable Hotshot, but every moment you spend being fickle over your own personal tangential issues, is another passing moment that the world could go into peril.

Jetfire would be like, ah man, let the guy go race it off! He needs to cool down!

Bulkehead, would go, why laddie! When I was ur age, we had to be disciplined! No time for indecisivness! Ya must step up to the plate laddie!
