Hey everyone... I recently purchased a case of the Smallest wave 2 from Ebay... (Anime Optimus, Megatron, Prowl, Thrust, Jazz, Red alert, and I think the secret chases are Ultra Magnus and Bluestreak...) I will be recieving it next tuesday or so, according to the UPS tracking website. As I will obviously have a boatload of duplicates from a case of 48, I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for some kitbash or repaint ideas I can try on some of them? Otherwise, they will all just probably end up on Ebay so I can hopefully break even on the price of the case. These little guys are awesome right out of the box, but I can't help thinking that they hold a ton of hidden kitbash potential. I'm a rank amateur at bashing though, with my only attempt so far existing as an exploded alternator bluestreak and a chopped up diecast new beetle model that will some day be an awesome BT Bumblebee, which will hopefully rival PREDATOR's in badassed-ness. :tftongue I'm sure the pool of creativity on this board can come up with something... If any of you veteran kitbashers have a great idea, I may even donate the figures if you'll make one for me too... While the Binaltech/Alternators lines yield some very badass customs, I think if anyone is up to the challenge, there could be some pretty cool results from this line too. They always said great things came in small packages... any ideas?

 

P.S. - Please don't flame me in regards to mentioning predator's Bumblebee like I did. I mean no disrespect, his is totally bad ass. I'm just saying that I hope mine comes out half as good as his did. (I have my doubts... I have no idea what I'm doing, after all. But that's for another post entirely...)

Heh, as I too have a bunch of spare WSTs, I've been toying around with the idea of repainting or kitbashing them. I was going to do a combiner of some sort, similiar to stunticons but not really doing stunticons per se. I was also thinking of doing Ramjet and Dirge since Thrust is so abundant in the series 2. These ideas are at the bottom of my priority list though, so if you want to try any of the above, be my guest.

Well, as far as the spare optimus's, you can make your own custom Ultra Magnus's or Nemesis Prime's, extra Prowl's you can remove the sirens and make blue Bluestreaks and/or Smokescreen's, Jazz to Stepper/Ricochet, Red alert to Clampdown and/or Deepcover, etc. Just do what you wanna do really.

Heat Guy J, if you want some of the extras, I'll hook you up cheap. I'll post again once I get the case and see how many of each figure I get. PM me if you're seriously interested...

Lets just say I've got 3 extra Jazz's and if I can get it to work, there will be a WST of the Gold Jazz exclusive. Talk about rare, only 3 in the world..... Man, I can't wait.
