Upcoming Encore Figure To Be...Devastator?

Recommended Posts

So take this with extreme salt, but there could be a faint possibility that Takara-Tomy's upcoming Transformers Encore will be Devastator. The image, originally posted over at Chinese forums 78DM.net, is extremely blurry but looks at a box of a distinct Generation 1 Devaastator. Like we said before, take this speculation as just that. If we find out anything new, we'll sure to let you know.

That be great... Hopefully no mold degradation... Was a diecast version ever made?...

oh please, oh please... i've been hoping to see them FINALLY reissue Devy since I got back into collecting. This would make me a very happy fanboy. :D

And I don't remember there being a "diecast version" per se, but some of the individual Constructicons had some metal parts, most noticably Hook.

that would awesome if they do release a reissue of Dev....

he would look nice besides Predaking....lol

Devistator is way over due for a nonKO reissue

Most of the combiners realy, but he is the most popular.

Guess they had to run out of Combaticons first though?

I hope this is true. To those selling vintage Devastators at high prices, it'll be a nice "fuck you." :tfgrin

Maybe it has something to do with the RotF movie, like Encore Skids?

if it was $30, that would be great ($5 each) but alas, it'll be $75+ and that's too much.

If it's cheaper than vintage, then you must take advantage.

Even if it's the same as Encore Bruticus, $84.99 at BBTS for example, then that means each Constructicon is about $14.20. That's still less than you would pay for vintage toys that are in good shape and complete. I have a strict, nothing over $20, policy when it comes to vintage combiners. That goes for the limbs of course, since most combiners have a leader that is bigger than the rest of the team.

They wouldn't add any type of articulation to this would they? :eek This is the only combiner that I can think of other than the Predicons that are actually all the same size. Would you say that Hook is the "leader" of the Constructicons? :shrug

I think the whole large leader started with either the Stunticons or Aerialbots, but I'm not expert on G1 toys. :shrug

TRy Robotkingdom, even after the shipping you tend to do better on imports then at BBTS

This is true. I always figured Scrapper as the team leader. But yeah watch Scramble City on the 86 movie DVD, they explain it if your unsure.
