How many?

How many transformers were there in the movie that never actually transformed out of vehichel mode but we accepted that they were transformers because some form of media outside of the movie told us they were?

I was thinking about this for a while but if I recall correctly they had a lot of transformers in the movie but we never really saw them transform. And in the end battle with the decepticons we saw a whole lot of vehicles that we assumed were decepticons pulling up and the next thing we see is the robots walking around attacking but never really saw them transform. Did they jut use a bunch of different automobiles than a bunch of generic robots to make it look like there were a lot in the movie when there really wasn't?

I'm just a little confused on that. In the first movie every transformer had a transformation but in this movie it seems like a lot of that was skipped.

Well, I guess it's one way to save time and money...

Oh, did I say save time and money? I meant: "Be lazy and cheap".

If you're not gonna do something right, don't bother doing it! Hey, that's almost Jazz's motto... And they killed him... OH! Somehow that explains EVERYTHING!

Oh, did I say save time and money? I meant: "Be lazy and cheap".

The movie deserves criticsm for a lot of things, but I don't think it does for being lazy or cheap considering how many special effects did go into it.

That's true... they weren't lazy or cheap when It came down to blowin stuff up, or Devastator's... yeah...

I'm sorry, I have a bad habit of oversimplifying things in order to be flippant and deliver a "punch line"... I guess what my criticism is is that, perhaps the budget was not relegated properly... or some details were glossed over because they were busy with other things that maybe didn't add much to the movie, but sure were expensive (like the script. Sorry! there I go again...)

But then even this may be a case of me leveling unnecessary criticisms, just for the sake of criticizing a movie I had higher hopes for...

Forgive me for being a smart alec, please?

I got it the first time, your sarcasm and quick witty humor aren't lost on me. And I agree. This is the TRANSFORMERS afterall, I expect them to transform from robot to vehicle aplenty!

so far as I can tell there were 5 or 6 transformers that actually transform and about 20 that they just showed as vehicles and 8 decepticons that they showed in just robot form that all looked the same. About that anyways.

The only ones I can think of are Devastator's components.

I think dev was kinda a cop out to. for the most part the commponents seemed to fly into place in a cloud of dust.... would that be considered a real transformation? As it is in the transformers universe or just the bayverse?
