I bought the Reprolabels set to turn the white Powerglide into Hothouse.

The problem with the "REPURPOSING" is that if you are full time on TRANSFORMERS, then you will want to own EVERYTHING that HASBRO has thrown to us over the years, and you know that, they have done TOO MANY UNNECESSARY REPAINTS of several characters down the road.

 

The POWERLINX re-decos, the ENERGON power-ups, the LAZYNESS of not to re-tool figures from several lines like CLASSICS and CYBERTRON, to name a few is very hard to swallop.

 

What i do is IF ONLY THE CHARACTER deserves to get repurposed, then i look for it and buy it.

 

Everybody who knows and loves their Transformers, uses that Classics POWERGLIDE v1 as an homage to HOTHOUSE, and that Cyb. OVERRIDE is an homage to Masterforce MINERVA.; but what do you do i.e. with the OVERRIDE GTS?, well IMO, instead for a SG version of OVERRIDE/MINERVA, then it appeals to me like that old GO-BOT PSYCHO, How about that? :ghey

 

All those lame re-paints of BRUTICUS/RUINATION, well how about a new feature from the COMBATICONS so that they could become "STEALTHIER" or "CAMOUFLAGED" in some environments?

 

Just do not force those characters, just 'cause HASBRO messed with them sooooo badly, it only gives them purpose to keep REPAINTING the same molds over and over again.

 

The DIACLONE era is GONE, please encourage them to give some FRESHER products, instead of old stuff that never lifted off from the shelves. :mwahaha

I've never had a problem with repaints who are new characters. I'm more interested in CHARACTERS in ficiton, not molds. Why do people seriously think Hasbro should make a completely new mold from scratch for EVERY new character? I have no idea. So if you repaint Bumblebee release him as Cliffjumper, or Glyph or someone else, but PLEASE Hasbro don't release 5 different Bumlebee repaints as Bumblebee. THAT is lazy.

 

Anyways, for a line like Shattered Glass, where we don't they won't be making many original toys, I have no problem using those old unused repaints as filler characters.

Just a KO with a reprolabel, but I thought this little fellow reminds me of SG Frenzy, so that's how he will be displayed.
