OMFG

Why does someone always try to complain and play the race card?

Everything always has to be about race this is bullshit!

If they where all white Transformers then what?

Bay would be racist because they are all white...WTF

I'm white by the way, and I'm sure that this fact will matter to someone, somehow, or someway?

Thats the thing, it's not a childrens movie!?!

little kids shouldn't even be seening ROTF, well...... of course the sex jokes, and swearing of all

just my honest opinion

Are you kidding me, most of the audience is at the age of 12 or younger.

Anyways, about this being racist, I would have to agree it was very distasteful at best, but I do not think Bay has bad intentions. Bay probably means no harm with his frat boy sense of humor.

I did not really get offended but annoyed like Blackout said. They were complete throwaway characters, and they were not even remotely amusing.

Oh I had a 5yr old sitting behind me "Grandma" had to read every little thing for the kid.

Still, the movie has a rating, if parents and grandparents choose to ignore that, well then it's on them, not the movie.

It's like drinking Draino, because blue liquid is pretty. Your the idiot, not the Draino people!?!

Well you can not deny the fact that much of the marketing was for the kids. The kid shirts, shoes, backpacks, et cetera were clearly aimed for the kids from the beginning.

I am not saying that the movie was to blame. It certainly was the parents fault.

What I meant to say was that the people at Hollywood was not just focusing on the teens and young adults.

Wonder if Terminator had the same problem?

They just seemed like two stupid characters to me. I thought they were supposed to be like two young kids talking tough.

I've seen plenty of movies with black actors that play characters that act like that and you never hear anything about it. But when it's a red and green robot, now it's racist? :roll

Well, I guess whatever it takes to keep those two out of TF3... :wave

The point of racism realy falls on the people calling it.

One was green, the other orange, and both looked like Gremlin regects.

I find it messed up that the people pointing the finger would associate their manerisms as "black" I say this as someone who grew up in a suburb full of white kids who talked and acted same as those two robots did.

Oh yeah, I'm pointing the finger right back.

Thats how I feel. I'm white and grew up in a wealthy white neighborhood but when I go home to see my parents or old friends, most of the teens act and talk just like the twins. It's just the "hip" and "in" thing.

I liked them, they were funny to me. If having to childish robots who wanna be hip is racist then I don't know what to say anymore.

the twins were hilarious.. it's really funny how most transformers fans have NO sense of humor what so ever..

and where does racism come into play..

racism |ˈrÄËŒsizÉ™m|

noun

the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, esp. so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.

i'm pretty sure i didn't see any of that going on in the movie.. unless you mean the decepticons thinking they're better than the autobots and the humans...

I do think it's funny that people see the comedy relief as racist. How about the German accent evil doctor? Isn't the mad german scientist a racial stereotype? Of course it's okay to make fun of Germans.

They just seemed like two stupid characters to me. I thought they were supposed to be like two young kids talking tough.

I agree completely. When has it been known that only "black" people talk in ebonics? In Califormia, White's, Brown's, Yellow's, Purple's (whatever), have a percentage that speak like this. No one I have talked to think they are anything but crazy a$$ robots. I heard one black and white guy do the voices anyway? :wtf

Contrary to the jar jar binks reference (from others), I actually enjoyed the twins.
