TRU gift set

I love the Megatron mold and had to have both the large and small version. For $25, it would be a pretty good buy even if it didn't have Prime in it if you ask me. I don't want the larger Prime, but the PL version is not bad.

Well, I picked up this set today, and it was worth the $24.99 price tag for Megatron alone. *rant*Optimus however, after actually having him in my hands I can now honestly say that this is by far the poorest representation of Optimus, the figure barely passes as both a figure and a vehicle. He's extremely disproportionate to himself, has a huge gap from the deck to the body in vehicle mode, the arms going straight back and tucking to holes for the hands is a horrid excuse for a transformation, and the powerlinx modes were way too forced to make out of the initial mold, and he's smaller than all the deluxe figures on top of all that. There are so many ways this figure could have been designed better between robot and vehicle modes and still retain the power-ranger features they designed it for. *endrant*

:pfx In comparison to Armada Supercon Prime, this figure really falls short. BIGTIME. I know some people really like the PL modes, but I found them really, really weak. I have combined him with every PL Autobot in both pants and shirt modes and nothing seems to work. They are very forced looking, especially the pants mode. WAYYYY too much kibble. How would he even walk?

Also, as Impaler mentioned, he's the smallest of all the deluxe figures, only a little bit bigger than the Omnicons.

I think I'll call him "Napoleon Prime".

Wing Prime is teh best.

I got the two pack today, last one. Megs is so cool, I'm glad i got it. But Prime is stupid. He pretty much went from being fat, to being short and fat. Oh well, i got a good Megs figure so I'm happy.

well got to see my friend's mini prime...not as impressive as bendy prime was. I think if they made him bigger it would have been better. I mean HOTSHOT is a larger figure than he is. Plus I had hoped that the Prime Force would be able to link up...alas no. Not to mention the lack of Hands in PL mode. Megs on the other hand I'll give an A-. ONLY because I was hoping his arms would be small enough to attach Tidalwave (TIDALWAVE!!!!) alas no luck...but if I can afford it, I may buy one. Not on the top of the lists though

yeah, i noticed the thigh-sliding thing when i first got my Plinx Prime. I like the chrome, I never use him in Pants mode, and he is kinda klunky in shirt mode. But I still dig him. I kinda feel like when he's in shirt mode, he really can't move - but he doesn't need to with all that firepower...hell just Plinx and stand there and BOOM.

Kinda like that move that Prime does on the show where the camera backs up and like 100 lasers come out of him in every angle...which got me thinking....how does he manage to not nail his comrades?

also - smaller megs looks great next to uncombined big Prime. I posed them together with Prime holding meg up by the collar and the crotch. Prime is bent at the knees, kinda like a baseball catcher. looks awesome, and poses well.
