OK, I know I can find one if I wanted. My TRUs are overflowing...

At the moment he's the only new Deluxe that I dont have. Believe me there's an obvious reason.

Well today while running errands that took me to a Target and a Walmart, I noticed every figure in their toy departments but Wheelie?

Sideswipe, Sideways, BB, Soundwave all in plenty, but no Wheelie...

 

OK maybe the stores just saw that he sucks and kept him off the shelves, but I doubt it cause I helped a stock clerk learn the difference between a FAB and a Deluxe(it was fun, she didn't speak english).

 

Here's the clincher though, in the parking lot or each store I found a ripped open and discarded Wheelie package!?!

 

Could it be the mutant spawn of Johnny 5 is the break out figure?

 

I wouldn't think so, but evidence is evidence.

I wonder if he'll be a fan favorite now... Movie Wheelie sure is a far cry from G1 Wheelie.

I doubt this but, maybe the clip released online caused an increase in interest?

Honestly, the toy is just that good. I had my doubts when i bought it, but they went away as soon as I got him out of the package.

I don't know and I'm a new mold junky, but it was just real weird...

 

Who the hell would pass up all the other bots out there for whatever that is!?!

 

Everytime I pick it up, I put it back, still, it's the only one gone...

I love mine. I got him about two weeks ago after Yuyuyami heavily suggested it. He was 110% correct. Yes, Wheelie is the height of some Voyager class figures, but you have to just forget about scale and look at him as a stand alone figure. He's got some great articulation in his arms and legs, ans, you can even move his eyes to show emotion. Kind of. Pics to follow.

I too was very skeptical of this figure and was convinced he was the ugliest piece of crap in the line. I got him the other day due to a mass amount of stress and needed to make a rash impulse purchase of something. I was NOT disappointed! The coolest thing about Wheelie is that unlike most of the other figures, in his bot mode (except for the wheels) his alt mode completely goes away. Your not looking at him and seeing an RC 4x4 with arms and legs. He's also got some of the best articulation of all the deluxe figures so far. Yeah he's got a messed up face but due to the articulation (as seen in the above figures) I can look past that.

 

When you find one...pick him up. I bet you'll change your mind once you get him out of the package. I did.

I figured what the hey...

 

Over all, I could have left him. I'm not denouncing him though. What I like about him is that there is alot of room for versatility. Alot of bots just do whats on the back of the box, this guy has some options and I have been having fun tinkering with him.

 

Something I realy like are the reserve "feet" and wish Sideswipe had those for ballance instead of the fold pannels.

 

I wouldn't say pay full price, but if you see him cheap, go ahead...

 

Also met a pretty cool Joe kitbasher in the store, added bonus!

after seeing the guy moving in that small clip he's gone from a pass to a must buy, guy is like a brooklyn version of Frenzy.
