I just think this is a bad idea, the Devil's Due Hot Rod shows how bad he looks as a Mustang even by professional artists.... A Viper or Vette would be passable, but not a 'stang :tdown

I dont see it myself, the toy mode of grimlock is too bulky for Hot Rod or even Rodimus Prime as he was always sleek as opposed to beefy. Dont do it Viagra Prime lol.

It's a great idea. AS soon as I saw the Grimlock, this is what I was planning to do. I'd rather make this into Hot Rod and use the Grimplock head on a TM2 Megatron body. Grimlock shouldn't be a mustang.

I don't know man. I always see Hot Rod as more of a pansy/Beastbox. But that's just me.

Well, as an All American Boy, I always wanted a blue C3 'vette ever since I first saw one out of our window when I was 1 or 2, and that's what I eventually got (see below) :thumb

 

But seeing as Hot Rod was introduced as a 2005 character, and right now the closest car on the market to that look is the new C6 'vette, I would rather see that happen as a new-mold Alternator/Binaltech. However, the Viper would also work as the noses of the Viper and the larger Dodge trucks share a same look that would allow for the upgrade from Hot Rod to Rodimus Prime.

When I think of a Mustang, I think "square." And that's the one word I *wouldn't* use to describe Hot Rod's alt mode. The closest thing I could think of would be a Lamborghini, perhaps a Diablo. (BTW that was the car this All-American boy grew up drooling over. :thumb)

There's still the issue of the dangling undercarriage in the back. The color scheme could be tweaked, too.
