Well, thank you all for your reply.

Skywarp I own both loose and MISB as he was really cheap I got two. I also own several other Transformers MISB such as Beast Wars Transquito, Scourge & Scarem & Tigerhawk, Black Convoy, the clear KB Spychangers, the Universe Ruination, the Soundwave and Frenzy Gobots, all 3 Cyberjets and 3 Tiny tins.

All but 2 of the Cyberjets I own but some in different molds/earlier incarnations.

Most look really cool in their box such as Ruination. He is a different mold (Movor's nose cone is blunter.) but as I already own R.I.D. Ruination I felt I should keep him in the box. And his color scheme is :tfpuke

But it is true that Transformers (and toys in general) is not really something that people can make a lot of money from. They take up a lot of space and generally do not increase in value much. Unless you got a really cool one.

I have sold a few Transformers to cover for the shipping costs for new Transformers but I always asked a fair price.

There is someone in The Netherlands who asks 25 Euro for a loose (but near mint) Energon Deluxe. Now that is scalping! :tdown

So I will open up Thundercracker. Was seriously thinking about it but now I know for sure.

I reminds me of a comic I once read. In this one person kept his old comics sealed away and never read them. Then his new friend opened them up and read them which made him really angry.

But when he was putting them back, he started reading them as well and soon realised that his friend had shown him the true value of these comics and forgave him. :tfgrin

Which is the case here. A Transformer is best enjoyed out of their box. :tftongue

Thanks again for your input. :thumb

Alright, that IS scalping. Granted, energon toys ARE that expensive around here (18 bucks for a deluxe), but come on...That's overdoing it.

Have you guys ever considered that maybe it just might cost more to ship Transformers to Europe from China (where they are made)? There is a direct route from China to LA, straight into the US. I don't know about China to Europe but I assume the ships have to navigate through Eygptian Sea?

The only toys I would have probably leave MISB are extremely rare ones that cost thousand of dollars. But since I don't want to spend that much on a single toy, it would never happen.

18 Euro? That is too expensive.,

I have bought them at Intertoys and Bart Smit for 15.

hehehe.... about that I have open every single TF toy I got except one

20th Anni. Prime. It's still in its twisty tied state as we speak.

@_@" must resist opening it....

I agree with everybody with opening it, but if you like the way it looks in the box keep it in the box.  I have the K-mart A Prime/A Jetfire 2 pack & I think they look cool in the box.  Thats the ONLY reason they are still in the box.  I already have the regular Prime.

I agree, but any transformer is better out of the box. like when a girl has some really nice pants on...they look good "in the box", or while she's wearing them, but better on my floor. hehe :thumb

also i'd like to agree with whomever said if you want to make money, don't do it with TFs. do it with real investments, that earn interest over time, in a bigger way than MISB toys do.

how many people say they buy tfs for the investment just to throw people off?? :)

I own 520 opened TFs. yum.

Who cares about collector value?

Are you a fat scalper?

Is your family starving?

Do you really need $35, 10 years from now?

OPEN IT!! It's a toy, not an egyptian relic.

:rofl :rofl :pfx Where's the fun on having a great toy inside a box? Cmon OPEN IT.

:tfevil :tfevil :tfevil :tfevil OPEN IT, DO AS I TELL U TO DO, OPEN IT, DO MY WILL. OPEN IT :tfevil :tfevil :tfevil

Currently Armada Skywarp is found in the Netherlands at the Wibra stores for only €8 a piece.
