I think that if Hasbro/Takara/HasTak/whatever the Hell that huge entity is called were to release a female Transformers--Arcee notwithstanding--they would have to put her in the Alternators line. Most female figures aren't made for general toy lines because it's still considered funny by little boys to be playing with a girl action figure--they might as well be playing with dolls for all they care. Most female action figures are pegwarmers for that fact alone, which is why they shortpack them or not even make the figure. Arcee isn't really the exception because they shortpacked her--1 per case, I think--so that when you find her she's one out of 30 or so already on the racks.

And as we all know, the fanboys are the only ones buying that toy. My son has expressed zero interest in her.

Well, suddenly i got this crazy idea. Why can't we have alternators based on artists/singers? You know, have an artist or singer customize an Alt to his/her liking.

 

Example: We could ask Mr. Hanks to customize sideswipe.

While I doubt we'll see Alternator Discharge... I think our best bet will be an Arcee repaint/remold convention exclusive. I highly doubt we'll see a female Alternator in the retail stores, especially if there's no series to back it up.

Discharge would be an interesting and funny name for a fembot. When I hear that name I think of the cottage cheese like substance released from (sic) due to yeast infection. This substance commonly described or referred to as discharge.

 

Any one know of any female toy mechs with a head the size of an alternator's head? I like to kitbash a fembot but can't seem to find an appropriate head. Might have to just bash the head if I can't find one.
