If newer TF's series are "too safe"...

Recommended Posts

Discussion's been going on in Madhammer's thread about TransTech and how the series got killed by those who could not accept change. Well, here's your chance to tell me what you would propose for a new series that would leave all others in the dust. Creativity and new thinking is the key here, but don't design something those G1 purists will hate or Hasbro will never produce it! Or maybe your idea is so great they'll have no choice but to produce it anyway... :tftongue

Whoo, this is going great! Remind me not to bring up ideas like this again!

i would like to see a series that is centered around the era before the autobot/decepticon war. have the series begin in the era where the transformers were slaves to the quintessons and the revolution is just beginning. then we can see just how the development of the tf's began, see the struggles they endured and how things developed into the transformers we know today. seeing we teach history to our kids which includes wars, and revolutions i don't see why having a cartoon that parodies our own historical stuggles is something that should be seen as not being appropriate for kids.

then if you break it into different but related shows like armada into engergon then to cybertron, then in the next series you can move into the rise of the decepticons where we could see in depth the origins of megatron, optimus and more of characters we've all come to love and hate since. i've had some really cool ideas about the background stories of some of these characters that would just be awesome to see made into a cartoon.

i would base this in the g1 continuity but seeing this would be a cyberton based story without the earth influence there wouldn't be any need for those who hate g1 to not like it. any figures that were made would be based on cybertonian alt modes therefore could be very original and quite kick ass.

anyway...it's just an idea.

I was thinking about a similar idea, but even further back. Something where we had early Cybertronian life, and possibly the end is where the Quintessons take over. Perhaps Cybertronian society would have been very primitive at that time, perhaps not. One could even do a story where perhps most Cybertronians didn't have the ability to transform and that they were in the midst of evolving to that end (I know, it sounds somewhat X-Men-ish).

I'd love an Alternators story. I'd start it off with Cosmic Rust infected Autobots and Decepticons falling off left and right. Just when things look really bad Optimus, who is immune to the virus because of the Matrix and is sporting his battle damaged MP body, arrives with the new Alternators/BT Autobots. Later the Decepticons steal the technology for their own use.

All Infected bots would have their Sparks and neuro computers in some sort of stasis hold. As it turns out Megatron gets infected and demands to have a new body made. Starscream, who also is immune to the virus because of his special indistructible spark, leaves Megatron spark in stasis and locks it away for safe keeping. Leaving the Decepticons under his rule.

After a some what successful run as leader things go bad and the reformated Soundwave secretly goes about the creation of Megatron newer more powerful body. What Soundwave doesn't know is that certain memories were previously deleted from Megatron Neuro computer strong holding Starscream's safety in the event of Megs resurrection. Using data he secretly gathered, getting Laserbeak and Ratbat to study strange transformers on any unidentified mechanical planet(Unicron) Millions of years ago before the Cybertronian wars, Soundwave resurrects Megatron as the most powerful transformer ever. With that said the outdated Optimus and the newly formatted Autobots have a new treat to their existence and the existence of Earth. Dunt, dah Dahn!

For extra toy ideas I would have an all plastic 20th ann Optimus with Trailer battle station(sold seperately). A greatly upgraded Robot Masters design Starscream that is larger than current Alternators. Of course he'd have to have a bigger head and Knees. Finally, besides the other altered Decepticons I'd have a futuristic Triple changing Megs that changes from deadly aircraft to tank. Since alternators doesn't have a definite story like BT why not through in some non cars.

If Hasbro reads this I give them full right to use this idea and wont sue. You know there will be some one who writes a story line on this thread and will want some money for it if they use it.

I want to see Optimus... Living in a pineapple under the sea, and wheelie as a pink starfish...

hey the man said new thinking... how about a story about a planet full of fembots... on a beach with Seaspray as a yellow SCARAB and a whole mess of Sharticons......

Basically, I'd want an Alternators story, that is G1, but "grown-up".

I'd like to see the story of G1 redone, throw in how some of them change to Alternators and I'd like it to tie-in with Beast Wars somehow. Hey, I could even live with it tying into Energon somehow, but I want the G1 characters, basically. I know you'll all call me a Geewun purist, but it's high time they came back.

It would have to be made on this side of the ocean, though. I have nothing against Japanese culture, but so far the North American TF stories are vastly superior.

I had wrote a story that was about a Decepticon Council. The whole story had the bad guys as the main characters. Basically it was the rise and fall of a Decepticon Council. Each Councilmember was a leader of a army of Decepticons. Each one was different and had their own agendas, but worked together to govern several star systems.

The Autobots were the antagonists and were seen through the eyes of the 'Cons. It was all about the perspective of being the so-called "bad guy" and why would someone choose "evil". It basically shed light on all the black and white areas of the TF Mythos when it came to good and evil.

I think this could make for a very adult-oriented OVA series, maybe. Maybe not. But it's a suggestion.

We shouldn't be required to think of our own TF series ideas before being allowed to critique existing ones. (Especially off the top of my head.)

If we ever do get a prequil series it better shed light on theDecepticons struggles against the Autobot overlads and there eventual rebellion.
