Put yourself in the reprolabels dude's shoes for a minute. You hear a lot of G1 love out there, and you have G1 love yourself (otherwise you wouldn't be spending so much time doing so much to make so little money), so you make some stickers that are going to make some G1 fans happy. And then alll you hear is people talking trash about your hard work. In fact, one guy equates the purchacing of your product to committing suicide. Wouldn't you be a little annoyed? A little angry?

 

Now put yourself back in your shoes. Is that the type of person you want to be? Do you want to make other people feel lousy about themselves? Do you want to hurt people? Because that's what those types of comments do.

 

If that's not the type of person you want to be then you might want to apologize to the guy.

I have no problem with reprolabel dudes, they are simply doing a favor for the fans.

 

It is the people who wants G1 stickers on Alts that I have a problem with. They can't grasp that this is not G1. They are not base on G1 cars. You can consider BT/ALT as a continuation of G1, but as it states as clear as ever, they are in new freaking bodies.

 

If you like G1 so much, and want everything G1, why not just collect G1? Why bother with Alts and BTs?

 

Major selling point = realistic car modes. You stick stupid stickers (Martini Racing) on it, it is no longer realistic.

 

Other than Nostalgia, I fail to see any benefits from adding G1 stickers. Do they make it look better? Hell no. But like I said, if you want nostalgia, buy the original off ebay or get the reissues.

If I want to put G1 stickers on my Alt. who the hell are you to tell me that I'm stupid for doing so? What all powerful knowledge do you have that I'm missing? Why do you care what I do with my toys? If I want to drop a MISB Fortress Maximus off my apartment balcony 'just for the fun of it' who are you to tell me otherwise? If they didnt want Hound to resemble his G1 self, then why did they make him a green jeep? Heck why even use the name Hound? They could have come up with entirely different characters for these two lines. Realistic cars is ONE of the selling points of these toys, yes. But another is the G1 in them. You think people would buy Hound if he looked like he did but Hastak called him something else. You would have people livid over the fact that he wasn't called Hound.

 

I don't have a problem with people voicing they're opinions, but I do get upset when people tell other people that they are 'retarted' for doing something that they want to do that doesn't hurt either party.
