@EmperorStarscream: no offense taken at all.

@Primal Convoy: energy is related to mass as E = mc^2. The transformations would give enormous mass conversions and that energy would have to be stored somewhere.

I think that the Dreamwave explanation + Subspace storage explanation works quite well.

@Big Grim: eagerly waiting for the TPB of MTMTE. I hope that I can convince my comic store to order it.

Energy HAS a mass/ Im not a great scientific mind. Is that what you are saying? If not, then I was thinking that Energon is a super, distilled, comapcted form of energy. Thus, HUGE amounts of Energon are stored in an average Tf, but it is quickly used up due to TFing.

This might explain:

1/ Why there was an energy shortage on Cybertron after the quints were destroyed and vector Sigma was damaged/off line as a result of the Great War.

2/ Why Beast wars Tfs came to be (less Energon expended due to smaller size and mass needing less energon)

3/ Why Minicons are amazing. they store large amounts of Energon and dont use it all up becuase they dont change size.

4/ Cybertrons mass/size problem.

Anyway, Im assuming here that Energon is the "magic" ingredient to all of this. Its a special form of densely compacted energy that has little or no mass.

*tongue in cheek, holds breath* Still, like your momma said "Im wide open boys!"

*prepares for a backlash*
