Okay, forgive me deeply if this is placed wrong, or has been discussed to death, or what not.

 

I am a.. somewhat avid collector of things (I'm sure no where near to the level of those on this board, to be sure), but my ability mostly consists of what I can find locally, as I don't wish to start importing unless I plan to keep them in their boxes (something I cannot do. =P ).

 

However, some of the pieces I'm really, really dying for, I have had absolutely no luck finding. This becomes worse when one considers that I just moved, and as such my local facilities for aquiring things have dropped significantly with it.

 

At this moment, besides figures that are coming out this christmas, the only figure I am desperately seeking is Shockblast. The reason why I'm worried is because I've seen the stuff on Sixshot, and I think he looks absolutely ugly.. I have never seen a shockblast locally. Heck.. I feel lucky to own my Mirage, as I have only seen two of him, and I know Dreadwing is coming out (I'm wondering if he's worth it).

 

Oh, side-note: Is it worth getting the OTFCC Megazarak fig? I need one of those to go with my Energon Tidal Wave, and I'm trying to decide which one suits him the best...

Welcome NooB!!!! I would highly recommend getting the OTFCC Megazarak. He is cool, I don't have either armada megatron or galvatron. I got megazarak at ebay for 60 bucks shipped which is not bad for an exclusive. Good luck on getting shockblast. Almost everyone here is looking for him. I saw him at walmart but the box was heavily damaged and I didn't pick him up. I hope I will see another one soon.

Is there any reliable place to find when Hasbro's officially shipped things? I mean, I feel downright blessed to have my Alternators Hound, but I haven't seen Dead End or Tracks (I know that they probably aren't truly out yet, and Meister/Grimlock definitely aren't)...

 

I noticed that monthly/weekly release lists for Japan are popping up, which is great.. but.. well.. Need to get Hasbro into the swing of things. =P

i think one of the main reasons why some of these figures are hard to come by is that stores have them stashed away in their warehouses. typically during the summer months, stores begin to stockpile toys for the holiday season and they usually only put out what they really need. factor in the countless ironhides and other figures clogging up the shelves in a lot of stores and it's easy to see why restocking hasn't been a huge priority.

 

things will probably really start to pick up after halloween. a lot of stores start having much bigger toy sales during november and into december so expect to start seeing a lot more of the figures that have thus far been elusive.

ebay or one of the online shops, never find anything in the shops, think the staff must grab them ;)

 

I get all my stuff from ebay and foreign contacts and have BT-1 to 11 just to make everyone jealous ;)
