Because Starscream fans largely lack creativity and are unable to think for themselves? I don't know that for a fact, I'm just throwing out some guesses here.

 

You can't use this being a movie as an excuse!

Why not? You keep using BW2 Starscream being a Japanese only character as an excuse to remove him from the equation. Why can't I make up my own wacky rules, too?

 

From now on, I'm gonna use the fact that all other Starscreams are animated characters to remove them from the equation. Therefore, Movie Starscream is the only valid Starscream.

 

You acknowledge BW2 SS, and I'll acknowledge all the animated Starscreams. Until then, they no longer count.

I would agree, but look at Movie Optimus Prime. He's still very G1 in looks. So clearly movie vs animated isnt a factor

 

Even then, BWII SS is still pretty much SS. You KNOW he's smirking under that faceplate. And it's highly stupid that you can't see it.

 

But when compared to Hellscream here in this movie, there's no plate...no nothing. that's his mouth! the ^ shaped golden metal. and last time i checked, a ^ really isnt much more than a frown. If that was just a facemask covering some other mouth, I wouldnt be upset. But no...that's his mouth..and that kind of mouth does NOT work

I just uploaded all those pics on my Myspace lol. Wow, Screamer, have you lost weight? He's not monkey looking at all from this angle. Devastator looks like a Bulldog lol. He is going to kick ass! I like the Twins. I understand thier goofy faces because I'm guessing they're young.

I'm not a big fan of animated or the G1 Starscream I find him to be a punk and a coward. The only thing I found remotely interesting were his wise cracks on Megatron. I'm at a lost as to why he's so popular, acting like a big shot and being one is completely different.

 

To me movie Starscream was a big improvement. Unlike his self appointed counter part, movie Starscream proves why he's second in command. I'm more interested in attitude and action, movie Starscream posses both.

 

We saw less than 30 seconds of movie Starscream, and we have comics, magazines, etc of Starscream based off an artists' rendition of Movie Starscream. Even so the scene he was in wasn't exactly ecstatic. I think its a bit to quick to jump on the bandwagon of that he can't smile. Also weren't the computer animators still exploring the robots in general?

 

 

I'm just hoping we can get an a somewhat in depth look at the bots in the next film including expressions rather than a bunch of blurs. After seeing GC I see why it beat out TF as far as visual effects.

yes but the pose he's doing in the pic hobbes linked me to is one that normally would would be smiling in a smug kinda way in...since hellscream is not smiling, i can only guess it's because his face is unable to smile. And a Starscream who cant smile or emote...just is NOT a Starscream

 

Personally I PRAY I'm wrong. I still hope I end up seeing some unseen movement in his face in ROTF as he suddenly grins menacingly in a true Starscream manner and says "You autobots are so easy at dying!" in the same sinister tone. THAT'S the kind of evil I'm talking about. And if it happens, I will end any angst I have and accept him as Starscream.

And if the day never comes...then he will never be Starscream. He doesnt have to say that line even...just prove that he can emote in that fashion and I'll be happy!

 

And GC didnt deserve the award....The fancy CGI wasnt what they won it for...Do you honestly believe a POLAR BEAR can outdo a robot consisting of thousands of moving parts? The awards show said GC was nominated for the Polar Bear...I guess the academy hasn't seen many Coke commercials....

Body language is good enough for any sort of Optimus Prime character. Movie laws don't overrule that!

 

For the last time....movie characters indeed need an expressive face to be appealing...But all OPTIMUS PRIMES do! Movie character or not, the rules of OPTIMUS PRIME still apply! And his not having a mouth is one of his signature features. Why do you think almost all Optimus fanart is of him without one? You can't use this being a movie as an excuse!

 

I mean I cant see this character taunting at Megatron in that scene where he has him pinned down or blasting through a bunch of Decepticon grunts yelling out taunts with a broad grin on his face. Body language doesnt do shit to help that.

This game is fun!

I rather enjoy it as well. Always did love to argue. And if I'm defending my favorite TF of all time as well, then it makes it better!
