Next day I came back and got Inferno and Scornponok.

 

Bear in mind Im in Europe, and we didn't get BW until early 1998.

 

Annoyingly, they had Wolfang that first day, but he was gone the next day.

I never saw him in a shop again.  Hasbro UK dropped him like a bad habbit almost as soon as they started shipping BW.

Yeah, I never was able to find Wolfang where I live either, saw him twice, but couldn't buy him those times...then I never saw him ever again...*sigh*...

 

 

On another note, Best Basic Figure Ever -- Quickstrike -- Man he rocked as a basic figure in design and looks.

First BW toys were bat Optimus and alligator Megatron. And on that note, I think my last Beast Wars toy was TM2 Blackarachnia, when i finally got her off Ebay a few years later.

My fave BW toys have got to be Rampage, TM Cheetor, Magnaboss, TM2 Megatron, Jawbreaker, and Cybershark (hard to remember all the BW guys i have)

 

As for fave character (I assume you mean from the show) It's got to be a tie with Rattrap and Rampage. Rattrap had the whole surly wise-cracking guy with a heat of gold theme, while Rampage was more like Hannibal Ector - Col. Kurtz pyschopath type.

 

And Waspinator gets an honorable mention cuz he cracked me up so much

that was possession after waspinator had been blown to pieces to get rid of starscream

 

i can't remember which the first one i got was but it was either taranculas (excuse my spelling) or original megatron, i went on to get many cool figs like tripredicus, tm op, tm cheetor, tm scananger (rename of inferno) and many more, the show was better than g1 no matter what people say and the relationship between rattrap and dinobot was laugh a minute.

My first BW toy was silverbolt. I reisisted buying them before hand because I simply didn't like them.

When I first saw the Beast Wars figures, I was 20, and hadnt bought a Transformer in years. I missed out on buying any of the first series of figures due to lack of interes ( I was collecting Star Wars figures at the time heehee). Then I caught an episode of Beast Wars one morning. I really liked the computer animation, and the plot really caught my interest. I then started watching the series regularly, but still hadnt bought any figs. Then, one day, I saw my favorite character from the show on a shelf in the toy aisle and couldnt resist: Inferno! I bought him, took him home, and was amazed on how far Transformers had come since G1. I spent hours putting Inferno in badass "YOU WILL BUUUUUURN" poses, and was hooked on Transformers since.

 

My favorite figure from the BEast Wars line is Transmetal 2 Megatron. This figure oozes evil badass from every pore in both beast and robot modes. It is a beautiful looking figure.

Revived TF's in EVERY SINGLE WAY.

Period.

Possibly true for "the fandom" in general. However, there wasn't one single person I knew who liked Transformers as a kid that didn't absolutely hate the Beast Wars toys. I think the entire concept pissed off a lot of people.

 

That being said, there were a few good toys in the series here and there. I believe Cybershark was the first I got, and I hated him. Stupid grinning face... that was one thing I couldn't stand about many of the Beast Wars toys. Why not just have a notmal straight face for the character? But, back to the point, I at least didn't let Cybershark ruin it for me. I have LioConvoy, Big Convoy (not Nemesis Prime), one that's an orange squid, but I can't remember his name, and a few others. There are some good ones, but I wouldn't say that it revived the line for me. RID was the thing that did it. I got the BW toys later.

That's Claw Jaw (the orange squid). I have him, and he's missing one of his robot arms (if you can call a tentacle a robot arm, i think he got screwed in the robot mode).

 

My first 2 BW toys (and the first toys of my Second Collecting, 1998 to present) were Optimal Optimus, and TM2 Megatron. Both of them took me quite a bit of time to transform them the first time.

 

My favorite BW toy moves a lot, I always have a hard time picking a favorite.

 

I'm looking for a Polar Claw, in good condition. That might just about complete my BW collection. I'm missing a few basic figures, but i'm not too interested in picking them up (Armordillo, Insecticon). Maybe an original Rattrap, I only have TM.
