New Magazine Scans of Upcoming Takara Products

Recommended Posts

FantoFan.jp has updated with a plethora of new scans from Hobby King and various other Japanese magazines featuring new close up shots of SC-26 Superion and SD-21 Bruticus (with some of the first close up shots of the team members), BT-09 Swindle Jeep Wrangler Custom, BT-08 Meister, RM Star Saber and much much more! You can view all the great scans at FantoFan's homepage here

I didn't know that BT-Meister had a missle launcher...

I didn't know that BT-Meister had a missle launcher...

He doesn't. That pic simply illustrates that Smokescreen GT's launcher also fits on Meister, something which Remy has previously pointed out.

Also of interest on that webpage: it mentions that Predaking reissue won't be part of the "Transformer Collection" series, so that settles the confusion surrounding how they were going to package him consistently with the rest of the series.

That being said, I wonder what his packaging will look like...

What is a "plethora"?

On-topic, Predaking still looks cool after all these years. Dang.

What is a "plethora"?

It essentially means "an excess."

From the magazine-scan-color-confusion department, is it just me or does Bruticus look a little...pale? I could swear Brawl and Onslaught were supposed to have light gray in place of the white, like the color of Vortex's main body. White looks...a bit out of place.

Might just be a Superlink recolor?

I also figured out why these new gestalts look a bit Frankensteinish. Don't get me wrong, I love the molds, and I've been a sucker and preordered the Superlink giftsets. But they have too many colors. It makes the individual robots look kickass, but the gestalts end up kind of patchwork. It seems like the gestalts are secondary to the individual bots here, so I guess that's just a tradeoff from the G1 guys...

Can StarSaber seperate into Saber and his Brainmaster? and where is RM Lioconvoy???

ahh, lovely bandwidth error... I'll check back tomorrow.
