Oh crap my bad is there any way to scale this down?

Could be the video game model. But who knows?

Where did you find this?

Hey guys...don't mean to rain on anybody's parade, but those models have been online for months! It is finally nice to see that he's actually going to be the Long Haul design with the release of the Robot Heroes model & now the FAB figure...can't wait to see the deluxe figure!

It's actually quite possible that this will be the movie model. All they need to do to make it match the movie's 'flying-floppy-parts-galore' aesthetic is to make some awesome materials.

From what I understand from reading the Don Murphy boards and movie blog, this design was apparently originally done by a fan (who just happened to be very good, and probably a pro), and the movie people liked the design so much that they bought the design and paid the individual in question for it. That's not something that usually happens. What is certain is that this piece had been out on the web since the very early when the movie had just been announced.

While it's certainly impressive, mechanical stuff is actually really easy to do. The lack of soft edges means you can do a SHITLOAD of simple extrudes/polygon deletes.

Not to mention three stage bevels on the edges to catch the light, plus most things like pistons are simply cyllinders and cables are either renderable splines or lofted shapes.
