Custom BM Jetstorm (WIP) by Breaker

Recommended Posts

Perhaps remove the Starscream nose cone and attach the Jetstorm nose cone. Then remove the Starscream legs. Sure you'll need a clear stand so it looks like he's hovering but he never landed on feet in the show so I think it'll look really good. Plus then you won't have any parts forming.

Oh I removed the legs looooong ago. And removing all of SS's nosecone wont work entirely, cause alot of it is inside his chest, and the Jetstorm nosecone is from a ultra class figure, its thicker.

And I dont know if I like the Jets nosecone as the hover legs thingy. They don't look like the character model, and if I did make them look like it, then it wouldnt look much like the nosecone. Plus it would look much smaller in comparison with the chest and arms.

Sorry I haven't been working more on this. Halo Wars has been consuming my life.

It looks from this picture:

that the front of his fuselage might match up with the rear of the Jetstorm nose cone. So if you remove the screws from his back, open him up, and take that little nose cone out you might be able to just connect the nose cone to the fuselage. I know the nose isn't quite perfect but it isn't too far off either.

*edit put a screw in the rear of the nose to put it into the fuselage and then you can turn it around to make it look right. Fins on the top of the nose become the fins on the back of his hover legs. Jet mode eye become hover thrusters.

You could always have some long prongs hinge from the nose cone so it will have his "hover prongs."

Thats all well and good, but I already went thru the trouble of making his lower half a week before i posted the gallery, you can see the pic of the unfinished version in there. Ive gone too far as it is to go back with the sculpting putty and the extremely permanent duco cement.

I could use a little help with gettin the wings folded back like the character model.

I would build a rotating hing using styrene tubing. Make a T on the main part by Dremeling a curve in one piece of tubing and gluing it to the main hinge part. Then put a piece of styrene coated wire though main hinge piece and add a piece of tubing to the top and bottom. Now cut the wings off and install the hinge.

my god that is so close to the show. I do agreeabout removing the extra bit of the not, it may not be able to move anymore but it would be another step nearer to the show again.

I've never used styrene before, so my abilities with it our pbbt. I know not where to buy it, or use it, and im not too keen to using something im not experienced with.

Hot Damn, that's looking good, Breaker.

To find styrene just find a model train shop or hobby shop. As for not having used before the tubing comes in long strips about a foot long or so. So even if you waste some practicing don't worry about it. Tubing made into a T shaped hinge is the only way to do what you want to do. At least that I can think of.

That is why you should always consult us before beginning any major plastic surgery.
