Well, i really don't know, but the toys are from Japan, they made it, and they are the gods :thumb

This has to do what exactly with the initial question of this thread?

Akom did "Rebirth" and would have probably also done the entire fourth season, had the series not ended after "Rebirth".

If that's the case, I'm really glad the US series ended after that.

Too bad it didn't end one season earlier, since Akom *did* do that one, for the most part.

It's amazing to me how much the quality of artwork can influence the feel of a show. Whenever I see "The Autobot Run" or "City of Steel" or "The Core," I feel like I'm watching a totally different show. Same writing, same voice actors, same music, but.... it just feels like Muppet Babies or something all of a sudden with that horrific artwork. I mean, "Atlantis, Arise!" is one of my favorite G1 episodes, despite the overall goofiness of the Sub-Atlanticans, because the artwork was so good in that one.

Oh well. As I said before, I prefer to have G1 end with TF:TM. That way everyone gets to go out on a high note. :thumb

Good point. Dammit, why couldn't they have just stuck with Toei?

G1 was animie, so was GI-Joe, Jem, Inhumanoids, Thundercats, Battle of the Planets, He-man and the rest.

But you have to admit that the style of art in those shows was VASTLY different than modern stuff like Energon, Armada, Digimon, Pokemon, and all those other shows that are in the same style as Energon. Like, personally, I like a lot of anime. TF:TM is clearly anime(my earlier post was sarcastic ;) ), but it's much, much different than Energon, etc. I absolutely despise the style that all these new shows are done in, while I love the older stuff(including the limited amount of 'classic' anime I've seen). Anime isn't a bad thing, by far. But the newer stuff seems so cheap and lazily done that I just can't stand it.

Having Snow Cat flying around the sky on skis while yodelling doesn't really help, either. ;)

Also, I'm curious: I don't mean to hijack this thread, but what style would you guys consider the classic TMNT?

You mean the first cartoon that came out in the 80's? I'm not sure what you'd call the style, but unfortunately it didn't stay that style.

G.I. Joe is NOT anime! :fire

to my knoelage TMNT countuinied in japan as a very animie series

p.s. Optimus Prime and Duke don't were gloves and has regulor proportions so he is anime
